^^^This.

Dealers are also, most of the time, the ones 'building' the tractor. They add the accessories, tires, etc. LS dealers are not just sales.

But I do understand the frustration. I like to play with those "build" features on sites all the time. See how much an expensive truck is, or what options come with what, type of thing. But, LS does not work that way. They put the control into the hands of independent dealers.

back in late spring/early summer, I got around to getting the rest of the side yard cleared and the fence put up. Part of that was some pretty decent sized trees. I've had a couple piles of firewood pieces waiting to be split and stacked. We don't burn wood inside, but we do camp and I am looking at a wood burner for the shop building.

Anyway, instead of going and renting a splitter and having to get it all done at once, I found a new harbor freight predator 20 ton bi directional splitter on FB Market I bought for $500. So I can work on it little at a time. So even in the high 90s today, I got out and split and stacked firewood. Have to say I am impressed with it! Love being able to load the pieces in the bucket, and let the tractor do the lifting so all I had to do was roll it or slide it onto the splitter. This, to me, is a big advantage over a tractor splitter on the 3 pt hitch. :)

^^ That's one of the advantages of a smaller company. The dealers are free to negotiate prices more easily than with bigger companies that dictate policy.

Call a dealer and see what they can do.

Thx but I need my thought together ahead of time.
I need to see what I want, the Manufacturer doesn't need state a selling price but at least what is the MSRP.

Basically what I did was search all the models I was interested in doing a 'Google' search for dealers , then looking for their advertised prices. Some list prices, some don't. Tractor house.com is another good search site for price comparison.

RCO lists their prices on their site, but I purchased mine from them for a LOT less. I'm over 650 miles away from them, but they made a great deal and set up delivery.

Another dealer that advertises the prices is "Bruno's Powersports", available with 'free shipping anywhere', but you might have to wait a while for the delivery.

Anyway, the LS dealers have way more control over how they can deal. I have purchased 2 LS tractors, the first dealer I purchased from made a great deal on my subcompact, but couldn't come close to the price that RCO gave me on my compact tractor. It 'pays to shop around', finding the best deal.

Good luck! IMHO, the quality, extra standard features (options on the other colors) and "bang for the buck" from LS is well worth the trouble to research the prices.

Nothing particularly productive.

Cleaned out the radiator screen again. Sadly even with the FEL up the screen does not pull straight out with R1s, have to force over tread unless turned exactly right. I can see doing my own split screen at some point.
Also replaced my rear stabilizer that I found. This time the pins are safety wired to reduce loss.

Did you try turning your front wheels full left David? My screen comes out easily. Do you still have R1's tires? That could be the difference?

Glad you found your stabilizer bar.

+1 for RCO Tractor. I bought an XR4046HC there in 2014 and an XR4155HC in 2017, from John Ryan. Their Austin shop is about 110 miles from the ranch and I pass two other LS Dealers to get there.

LS tractors come "standard" with many items that are "options" on the other tractors.

Gear or HST?
Cab or Open Station?
R4 Tire's or R1's?
Backhoe?

Options like radio, rear wiper, etc are dealer installed.

Anybody remember when the ONLY way to shop was to go to a dealer/store, look at the gizmo and ask questions in person? Maybe look at a few pictures in a magazine or newspaper first.

I don't get the whole 'gotta build it on the web first' bit since most of the ones I've seen aren't even all that accurate.
