LS resale

With a global downturn in manufacturing and talk of trade tarriffs at every turn, I would stick with the old names, but that's a personal choice. They may not all be around in future either, but I would guess, there is a better chance. I can get parts for a 50 year old JD. Even if they charge me $65.00 for a $3.00 run of the mill Bearing.

I ended up selling it to my uncle, for a sizable family discount.
Now it's time for me to source the next one, in the 35-40hp range, and once again a gear drive unit, shuttle actually.

I suspect the situation would be similar regardless of color.

I personally would never give the original dealer another penny of my business

I forget the brand (maybe TYM? Not sure), but I recall a recent thread here about someone buying a 'new' machine that had been sitting on the dealer's lot for something like 7 years because they hadn't been able to sell it.

I have been pouring over used tractor ads heavily for the past month. ALL compact tractors seem to hold their value extraordinarily well based on the asking prices I am seeing.

I don't know...
I literally just let go of my 2yr old XJ2025 for $10K, only had 170hrs on it and included my 4ft brush hog.

WOW, sounds like a bargain, why so low?

I needed to sell because I need to get a bigger tractor. Plus he's on of my favorite uncles.
My neighbor is moving out and taking his JD 4400 with him, leaving me with all the 1/2 mile private road maintenance.
The little XJ2025 is a solid work horse, but it gets it's but kicked by trying to move a decent amount of snow regularly, and is only able to make small swipes. I could have gotten it snow gear, but i figured that I'd be further ahead in year round chores as a whole just by upgrading.

Thanks.
Sounds like favorite uncle got something of a sweetheart deal not reflective of true market value.🤙
Have you picked your replacement?
