Pull a sample and send it in then you'll have piece of mind and reference point for wear materials.

thanks Aaron.

ok, I have a question. One year since I last changed the oil in my 22kw Generac. 25 hours use in one year.
Full synthetic oil. Looks like new. Yes I should change my oil every year but 25 hours on full synthetic?
Only concern is condensation, not wear crud.
Can I go another year?...
you can go 2 years or 200 running hours on the unit per generac. 4 years on plugs.

Here is Pic of a home made tank drier vent, that 2 lbs of silica gel inside that clear 4" pvc. on top are two check valves with a 1/4 lbs open rating. The top and bottom 2" reducers are not glued. Wiggle the unit out take inside remove the top pour crystal on cookie sheet heat in oven at 250 till blue again. Been on three months outside and still ok. About $70

When I exercise my genset I use an old 1000 watt baseboard heater as my load to give it a real workout.
Helps get the temperature up thus eliminating moisture everywhere.
When I shut down I run the carburetor dry thus eliminating gumming.
I also only use hi test gas that has no alcohol content.
My oil is only synthetic.
I also have a small intelligent battery keeper/charger permanently hooked up so the battery is always full charge ready.

Works for me.

Great design. Good value for anybody not living in Arizona or Osoyoos.

I've never bought drying crystals in bulk - where do you buy yours, and does it come in less that 50# bags ?

Bases covered. Done

For some people, dry-storage works well. For me, over time, enough deposits formed to gum up the float with dry-storage. Fuel is the biggest variable...... not everybody can readily access Efree gasoline, and I believe there are also regional fuel variations that factor into storage performance.

Find what works locally; stick with it .

I agree there should not be a problem with windings and moisture if they are in good shape, but couldn't moisture itself cause the insulation to break down, ar attract dust and dirt which could have a scouring action? It would be nice to know that getting rid of moisture wasn't an issue.
