Hello folks...

Here in Dixieland (30 miles north of Birmingham in a small hamlet called County Line), it will be hot again today. We are deficient in rainfall and the grass is complaining. After next rain, I'll be spraying with Bifenthrin to knock down the pests. I have 7 acres with a ravine (yeah, I know, Holler to country folks) separating me from my neighbor. Lots of mosquitos in that ravine.

No rain in sight for days.

What herbicide are you spraying Hawk? Glyphosate? Are you using a surfactant?

no and no (was out). Wife picked up surfactant so I can spray again this morning.. I'm spraying 2-4-D Amine.

71 this morning and headed to 83 today. Been some rain around but we’re still dry.

Have some chicken coop work this morning and then try to build my wife another book case for her classroom.

Rick. Yeah I checked that thread. Came up pretty empty in my searches. Seen post about the predator engines but not generator. I try to follow that thread and seems like they were highly regarded.

Drew. Thanks. That’s what I was expecting to hear about them. Generator will be a “want to use” not a “have to use”. I’ve got a 7500e Generac also. It’s just too big to lift in and out of ranger and doesn’t fit well with sprayer tank in bed also.

69°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 85° today.

Ran into Highland last evening to get some stuff at WallyWorld, and just got out of the store and back to my car before the skies opened up from the last of the spotty storms. Caught a pic of it on my way to town, about a mile north of our place.

Checking In-

More HHH weather and today the NWS issued an Air Quality Alert for this area. This is common for the CT River Valley, not so common up here in the hill towns. Actually the “Valley” is one of the worst areas in the CONUS for allergies. I can be breathing w/o any congestion while home and by the time I get to where I am going in the “Big City” I am all kinds of congested. I finally got around to getting the fasting bloodwork ordered in January this AM at the local health center in anticipation of my pending physical next month. Brogen has been walked. Mrs. Spider and/or her twin returned to the downstairs BR this AM; capture and relocation is pending. Staying cool, and hydrated are today’s planned activities; napping is definitely an option for later today. I would not complain if showers and/or T-storms percolate up later; it’s pretty dry around here as well.
