Good Morning!!!! 77F @ 5:30AM. Sunny. High 99F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.
Iraq's future once again belongs to its children, but only if the current leadership in that country can get its act together. Still lots of problems over there. Good to see some gratitude coming this way, though, as the role the US military has played there is not always seen in favorable ways.
Actors and athletes should stick to acting and sports, but when they choose to abuse their platforms to advocate politically, I choose to no longer patronize their products. 'Nuff said.
But spelunking, at least so far, has been mostly free of politics, even though it's a rather dirty pursuit. I say mostly because of the aspersions cast on a certain deceased Thai member of a cave rescue group that's been in the news earlier this year.
Working in the shade to start the day yesterday I was able to wire brush and prime one more eve, then decided to try to get another one done, but the sun had already been working on it. Both were on top of the roof, so I could sit or squat instead of hang off a ladder. But I quickly found out on the second one that the concrete roof tiles were too hot for sitting, and even my feet were getting toasty by the time the primer was done. So today the plan is to start earlier, and on the sunny side.
Talked to the Kubota salesman yesterday, letting him know of my redirected interest to the
M62, and asking him about R1 tires for it. He didn't seem to think it would be a problem, so I passed along Farmer's recommendation and we'll see what happens.
Also ordered a new motorcycle helmet, from the Netherlands, saving some two hundred bux in the process. That's the price of ambulance chasing lawyers in this country.
The best part of the day may well have been an afternoon nap, or was it sitting on the back patio as the sun set enjoying the cooling Delta Breeze and a Pabst?
Or maybe it was a buddy on the other end of the phone telling me he'd have to call me back because he'd just found a bat flying around his living room. And call back he did, after capturing it in a drape, and letting it go back outside.

I told him I'd had my own wildlife adventure just that morning when a baby fence lizard scampered across the great room floor. He got scooped up and relocated to some friendly looking rocks his buddies seem to like.
Hump Day Eve, Rick? The weeks go by fast enough without trying to speed up Tuesday with a fancy name.:2cents::confused2::laughing:
