Rick, very thoughtful tribute. I hope most Iraqis feel the same way.

Prayers for Mr Toppop and Mr BEF...

65 going to 92 today, last dry day, then normal summertime afternoon thunderstorms come back in every day.

mowed for almost five hours yesterday, got most done, arms and neck hurt but that will wear off, nasty bite under my watch
band where a fire ant somehow got trapped and chewed on me for awhile. Miserable little bugs.
Lawn is starting to brown and die again, but the coming rain will surely perk it up.

landscapers come today to weedeat, will probably be pretty busy working with them, plus I want to powerwash the garage and front porch, mostly to get
rid of spiders. So far not a lot of green mold, credit goes to the chemicals my neighbor used to clean the house, mold takes longer to return, all good.

I have a Predator 2000, bought it if I ever wanted to dry camp with travel trailer, never did, use it for backup at farm.
Good value for the price. Reasonably quiet for an inexpensive gen. Rolls easily on built in wheels and handle.
I do think that Predator carb will gum up a lot faster than a Honda, so I use lots of SeaFoam in mine.
If the gen is a single point of failure where you could have serious problems without juice, I'd buy a Honda...like RNG said.
I'd add Generac to that list too.
I think overall opinion of that Predator gen is above average for type.
Mine at least has auto throttle and it will handle light loads without speeding up, which surprised me. Guess that is the inverter design.

Rick, thank you. Just looked at that statue for a while and soaked it in.

off to pick tomatoes, peppers and okra. Maybe some onions too.

73 currently was 90 today. Mid 80’s rest of week.

Took oldest into therapy today and then ran some errands before taking youngest to eye doctor. Good report there. Straight eyes and a little above average for far sightedness but still has time for that to naturally correct. No glasses needed currently.

Anybody have the Preditor 2000 generator from Harbor Freight? Or spend double for a Honda? Thinking about a small generator to run around in back of ranger. Mainly for pumping water tanks, but for other things also. I can still flip them but they’re getting harder every year. 10 years ago I used one hand. Last week had to get a shoulder under it. 100 gallon tank. Maybe I’m just picking more stable places to sit them.

Rick. Hadn’t seen that. The appreciation is nice to see.

Heard about this on radio. Glad the kid got to do it. Radio said the Case IH reps let him drive the biggest tractor they brought.

Good Morning. It's 78°F with 94% humidity this morning. We're supposed to see 96°F this afternoon with a possibility of some rain.

Our County declared a burn ban .... in effect starting yesterday.

Planning on some more minor tree trimming this morning ..... to keep building burn piles .... that cannot be burned.

Farmer .... thanks for sharing the story about the boy from Austria. Some time the smallest things make the biggest difference in lives.

Thomas .... no BOO BOO today?

BEF and Randy ...... prayers continue.

Hope everyone has a pleasant "Hump Day Eve" today.

Prayers to all.

Good morning! 77˚F heading to 99˚F lots and lots of sun. They should call this Sun City.

Afternoon activities are cool activities, cave spelunking, card playing, or movie, or nap. Yesterday we went to see the new movie "Once a Upon a time in Hollywood". Worth the $6 senior rate.

Spoiler alert:

Stop here if you plan on seeing the movie.

The film maker is Quentin Tarantino so that should give you a hint it will be a film you will remember and some rules are broken.
The movie has great film scenes and is about the house Charles Manson was going to hit before getting the wrong house. What happens when they hit the neighbors of Sharon Tate. The ending is much better.

Drinking second cup of coffee. 67° with partly cloudy skies. Heading to 82° with Partly cloudy skies. Humidity is 95% this morning. Might as well be raining. First day in over a week without thunderstorms in forecast. Another .5" of rain came yesterday with some severe thunderstorms. Whole house generator is earning its keep this summer. Lawn needs cutting. But will have to wait until tomorrow. Sure amy glad I got the Gator blades Rick recommended. Need to take wife to hospital for some more test today.

Eric, you have lots of choices for modifying the pin. File test would be first. From my experience with FEL pins is they are tough but not hard. Another option is use epoxy on holes to see what configuration works. Then weld the holes not needed shut.

Rick, like the Iraq tribute. I bet there is another one of those statues. When we visited Harlingen, TX a few years ago. There is the original Iwo Jima statue used to make mold for one displayed in VA.

Farmer, like the Make a Wish SD farm trip.

Special prayers for Randy, Buckeye and others that are healing.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning!!!! 77F @ 5:30AM. Sunny. High 99F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Iraq's future once again belongs to its children, but only if the current leadership in that country can get its act together. Still lots of problems over there. Good to see some gratitude coming this way, though, as the role the US military has played there is not always seen in favorable ways.

Actors and athletes should stick to acting and sports, but when they choose to abuse their platforms to advocate politically, I choose to no longer patronize their products. 'Nuff said.

But spelunking, at least so far, has been mostly free of politics, even though it's a rather dirty pursuit. I say mostly because of the aspersions cast on a certain deceased Thai member of a cave rescue group that's been in the news earlier this year.

Working in the shade to start the day yesterday I was able to wire brush and prime one more eve, then decided to try to get another one done, but the sun had already been working on it. Both were on top of the roof, so I could sit or squat instead of hang off a ladder. But I quickly found out on the second one that the concrete roof tiles were too hot for sitting, and even my feet were getting toasty by the time the primer was done. So today the plan is to start earlier, and on the sunny side.

Talked to the Kubota salesman yesterday, letting him know of my redirected interest to the M62, and asking him about R1 tires for it. He didn't seem to think it would be a problem, so I passed along Farmer's recommendation and we'll see what happens.

Also ordered a new motorcycle helmet, from the Netherlands, saving some two hundred bux in the process. That's the price of ambulance chasing lawyers in this country.

The best part of the day may well have been an afternoon nap, or was it sitting on the back patio as the sun set enjoying the cooling Delta Breeze and a Pabst?

Or maybe it was a buddy on the other end of the phone telling me he'd have to call me back because he'd just found a bat flying around his living room. And call back he did, after capturing it in a drape, and letting it go back outside. I told him I'd had my own wildlife adventure just that morning when a baby fence lizard scampered across the great room floor. He got scooped up and relocated to some friendly looking rocks his buddies seem to like.

Hump Day Eve, Rick? The weeks go by fast enough without trying to speed up Tuesday with a fancy name.:2cents::confused2::laughing:
