Been out in the heat since the sun broke out. Need to go whack some weeds after re-hydration sits in. The grass is starting to lose its juicyness. Last nights cutting was throwing a lot of dust and bugs around.

I am shopping for a cab tractor these next few days. Just cannot function here without a tractor. I told the SO, and she agrees, you cannot live on a "farm" without one.

Ordered a tripod for used rotary laser I bought off Marketplace, Amazon Prime, showed guaranteed 2 day, supposed to show Wednesday but didn't, arrived Thursday evening.. This morning I opened online chat with Amazon, complained about missing delivery, after some pushback, got a 20% refund for missing delivery.. Don't let them get away with missing the guaranteed delivery, make them pay (note: not everything will show guaranteed delivery date, but when it does, you get compensated if they miss).

The used rotary laser level has one of the vials broken, anyone have a source for replacements? All the online stores show the vial replacement as discontinued, but I wanted to get a generic vial that is marked and accurate enough to replace it. (just for reference, the unit is a DeWalt DW073)

One of our cats has been gone for several days, figured someone or something got him (coyotes are out in force this year).. but he was waiting at door this morning like nothing happened.. had a bit to eat and went and laid down for a nap..

IIRC, there's a bubble level on the top of my laser level, but it's not a DeWalt. But Amazon carries a variety of bubble levels that might work for you...

Thanks for taking us along on your vacation, David. You're seeing some beautiful sites!

Turned a couple of spools to lengthen the legs on the big dirt bike's center stand yesterday, and got 'em welded in and ground flush. With a little luck I'll get a coat of paint on it today. Still have some adjusting to do on the muffler location, but things look like they're now headed in the right direction.

The solid coupler replacement for the viscous coupler on the van arrived yesterday, too, so I can put the front diff back together and see if that makes a difference in the vibrations.

Also picked up the insurance checks at FedEx yesterday. They sent more than I expected, a pleasant surprise. Time to get serious about that new tractor.:thumbsup:
