We had some issues with climate activists gluing themselves to the road, this cartoon came up shortly afterwards.
Always a solution.

The sun addles the brain, just as well they didn't get a flash flood or this 'brave' pair could have been in real trouble.
What possess them I have no idea.

The ironic part is they actually caused an increase in carbon emissions by creating a traffic jam!

Kinda like Leonardo DiCaprio living in a mansion and flying around in his private jet and lecturing the rest of us on reducing carbon emissions.

Maybe they thought they would save the planet by removing themselves from the gene pool.

It was Al Gore a decade ago.
Now the Hollyweird actor is doing the same.
He has a "documentary " on HBO right now called Ice on Fire.

Oh, OK. It's just that Gore was here (Brisbane, QLD) a few weeks ago spruiking the climate change line(s) to the converted.

Just after he leaves, the QLD State government (Labor) [no, I didn't misspell 'Labor'... they purposefully drop the 'u'] finally approved a huge coal mine project, which could be part of what those protesting twits were on about with gluing themselves to the zebra crossing.

That's also how we spell "Labor" on this side of the ocean.
On a similar note this week I saw a younger couple walking up the road like they were on a mission... they were dressed in "grunge" clothing and the guy was carrying a staff of some sort. One of the cars accompanying them had something about "save the water" written on it with white shoe polish. They must have been protesting bottled water, the timber industry, or maybe the cars which other people drive who aren't them. I'll probably read about it in the local paper this week.

We spell it labour except for the political party who drop the 'U', it can be confusing when trying to spell correctly and that party is not your flavour.
