Good morning!!!!

70°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 80° today. Expecting some rain and potentially severe storms this afternoon.

On the way home form work last evening, I got about a mile-and-a-half from the house when I drove past a dead skunk on the road. He was a ripe one, too ... although, the buzzard picking at him didn't seem to mind in the least bit. I didn't get the vent closed in time, and it really fouled up my car. Drove with the windows down the rest of the way, but it didn't help much. Went out a little later to go to the store for The Wife, and the garage reeked. Went the long way around to go back into town and back. It was still lingering a bit this morning when I got in the car. Used a fair amount of strawberry-scented spray to mask it.

Happy Birthday, Ron.

Nice work by you and your "crew," Drew.

Good Job you invented a new fragrance StrawberrySkunk!!!! I bet Drew could help you market this!!

I wonder if a larger nozzle size for your sprayer would fix your vaporization problem, Rick. A couple of weeks ago, I took one of the nozzles out of my sprayer boom down to a company in Chico called PBM that makes spraying equipment. They sell all kinds of fittings for their equipment, and I asked the guy behind the counter if he had a pair of nozzles a size or two bigger that would give me less wind drift. Oh my gosh, he had nozzles of any size you'd want, and he sold me a pair that completely eliminated my drift problem. The flow rate is a bit higher now, but I just move a little faster, but I feel a whole lot safer, too, because I'm not seeing or feeling any herbicide on my face or skin when I'm out spraying. :confused3:

RNG ... it's not so much of a vaporization issue and I'm happy with the nozzles I have to reduce wind drift. I usually don't spray with any wind. It's the volatilization rate, in high temperature/low humidity so the spray mix evaporates too fast to effect a good kill. As our temperatures gets up in the mid to high 90's and above, the humidity drops fast. That's why I try to spray in the morning.

Years ago, once in a while I'd share a motel room with a buddy of mine on motorcycle trips. One of his favorite tricks was to go in the room first and christen it with his flatulence. It might have been funny the first time or two, to him anyway, but it motivated me to find a fix. I found a product called Ozium, an incredibly powerful air freshener. It took the wind right out of his sales. Nowadays, Fabreeze will do the same thing, only better. These two products don't mask the smell, they eliminate it. I hope not, but maybe Mike'll find this info useful today, too.

I have a can of Febreeze sitting in my office. We had something dead (likely a rat) in one of the walls a few months ago, and my office seemed to take the brunt of it. The Febreeze helped big time. I do like that stuff. I've heard of Ozium, but never used it.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

Another HHH in Anderson, SC. Potential T-storms today may negatively impact on our plans for touring Lake Hartwell in BIL's/GF's boat. We'll see. Lots of R&R here, eating and drinking well:cool:

Happy Birthday Ron. I wish you many more in health and happiness.

Not a lot of skunks or raccoons around here (MA) the past few years. Mange, distemper, and rabies took their toll.

I hope Randy is OK and those on the mend keep mending.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

LOL. Mike is very cautious when dealing with things that may cause me to sleep elsewhere.

These little critters while cute...pose a significant challenge to my property rights.

Do you find that people have a hard time believing that people who live in Hawaii leave to go on vacation? :D

busy morning picking in garden, then went to work on potatoes.
First, the flag of course!
Then, put away in a dozen bags, mix of red, white and blue, and brought cases inside to stay cool.
