Good Morning!!!! 74F @ 4:30AM. Abundant sunshine. High 97F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Sure hope everything's OK with Randy...:(

Hope the traps work out for you, and the skunks, Mike.

That's some good news on the finger, Rich. Especially with all the antibiotic resistant bugs around.

Happy BDay, Ron. Here's to many more!

Had to run an errand in town last Monday, and on the way in caught up to a compact pickup truck that was so badly bent the track of the rear wheels were at least 6" to the left of the front ones. The driver was having obvious problems keeping it in the lane, so I backed off to get some distance. Next thing I know, there's a huge dust cloud and dirt all over the freeway, and the clown was up against the center guard rail and oleanders and traffic is barely creeping by. Several people were already stopped to check on the driver, so I kept going. Looked like a young kid driving; hope he learned a lesson...

Happy Hump Day!

Good morning! 70s-90s clear skies.

With the scaffold on the patio there is no ignoring the porch ceiling project, it is calling. I did get a new sander and some tarps, tape and oil based spar polyurethane, paint brush and a foam roller last night.

Randy will be declared MIA if he does not report in soon.

edit - your "hump" day reminded me of a book our neighbor is writing for children. It will be fact based about the United States Camel Corps in Texas in the 1850s.[h=1][/h]

Havent felt like starting the drive to work. Spending the morning coughing and hacking, and i stayed in last night, so must be because of monday night.

Hope Toppop is OK after escaping.. Maybe he's back in??

Some rain in the night. Isolated storms today.

Good Morning. It's a humid 79°F here this morning and looks like we'll see 96°F this afternoon.

I hope to get some weeds sprayed this morning if the wind stays calm, while is still "relatively" cool. Spraying when it's mid 90's or higher is almost a waste of time and materials with the high volatilization rate.

What ever I do this afternoon .... it will involve an A/C tractor.

Ron .... happy birthday!

Rip ... good luck with your "visitors".

BEF ... hope you get better soon.

Don ... hope you've got good breathing protection working overhead with sanding dust. Can you attach a shop vac to your new sander?

Drew ..... congrats on your potato harvest!

Everyone .... have an excellent "Hump Day"

Prayers to all.

70°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 80° today. Expecting some rain and potentially severe storms this afternoon.

On the way home form work last evening, I got about a mile-and-a-half from the house when I drove past a dead skunk on the road. He was a ripe one, too ... although, the buzzard picking at him didn't seem to mind in the least bit. I didn't get the vent closed in time, and it really fouled up my car. Drove with the windows down the rest of the way, but it didn't help much. Went out a little later to go to the store for The Wife, and the garage reeked. Went the long way around to go back into town and back. It was still lingering a bit this morning when I got in the car. Used a fair amount of strawberry-scented spray to mask it.

Happy Birthday, Ron.

Nice work by you and your "crew," Drew.

I wonder if a larger nozzle size for your sprayer would fix your vaporization problem, Rick. A couple of weeks ago, I took one of the nozzles out of my sprayer boom down to a company in Chico called PBM that makes spraying equipment. They sell all kinds of fittings for their equipment, and I asked the guy behind the counter if he had a pair of nozzles a size or two bigger that would give me less wind drift. Oh my gosh, he had nozzles of any size you'd want, and he sold me a pair that completely eliminated my drift problem. The flow rate is a bit higher now, but I just move a little faster, but I feel a whole lot safer, too, because I'm not seeing or feeling any herbicide on my face or skin when I'm out spraying. :confused3:

Years ago, once in a while I'd share a motel room with a buddy of mine on motorcycle trips. One of his favorite tricks was to go in the room first and christen it with his flatulence. It might have been funny the first time or two, to him anyway, but it motivated me to find a fix. I found a product called Ozium, an incredibly powerful air freshener. It took the wind right out of his sales. Nowadays, Fabreeze will do the same thing, only better. These two products don't mask the smell, they eliminate it. I hope not, but maybe Mike'll find this info useful today, too.
