Sodo, you do know that you need a lot more than 400 lbs of ballast for that tractor don't you? More like twice that.

Yeah clearly I could use more, and 2x would be great.

400 lbs water barrel is just slightly more than the biggest bucket of dirt I can scoop. But its very convenient, that I can drain it and the barrel + carrier are lightweight, easy to move around. And doesn’t add trailer weight when I transport on the highway etc. ID like to gave a 70gal barrel. Maybe weld a couple steel 55s together? And put in baffles while Im in there.

Learning what your eqpt can do has a lot to do with how badly you want a task done.
Its difficult to relay that in an Internet discussion —- because most of the viewers wouldn’t be doing that task anyway.
So getting it done has little value (compared to a perceived risk).

Whereas if that person was present,
can see how it’s proceeding,
PLUS wanting to complete the task,
that same person looks at it differently.

Its an Internet discussion kind of thing, missing a significant component (the get er done part)
Nobody can see the reason that I (feel the) need to move my snowmobile.

Like if Xfaxman (last pic) was instead climbing up onto a flatbed truck (or off).

So back to some discussion of your actual post. You don't have the weight of the snowmobile centered on the tractor. If you center the weight better on the forks, you will have less issues. The rear of a snowmobile is pretty light,

I put the 600 lb tiller on the 3 point of my Boomer 24 and is a different machine all together. Much more stable when lifting and much more capable when pushing snow. I learned my lesson about counter weight balance removing that tiller from the trailer when we brought it home. Got the left rear wheel off the ground. I needed a new pair of shorts. Never gonna do that again. Always have counter weight if I am moving anything.

I have the same model (B2710) and it’s easy to tip. Flail Mower makes a great ballast at 750 #. I haven’t tipped her with the flail and have had some loads that maxed the loader.

I can't pick it up at the balance point because of the length of the skis.

I got off the tractor, and lifted on the right rear wheel, just to see how much more stable it was....
To my surprise I was able to lift the wheel.
Something like 100 lbs of lift and it came up.

But in any case to tip it (like for the photo) I have to get off the tractor and intentionally dead-lift the right rear wheel.
Which is usually NOT required. :D
I only did it because I was wondering how much the counterweight was helping.

I was surprised that I could dead-lift the wheel.
