In 5 years I've prob lifted a rear wheel a hundred times.
You get to know your tractor when you do a lot of work with it and this tractor has done a lot.
Same as anything.

Careful Sodo . . . one of these times . . .

I too have lifted the rear tires a time or two.. learned not to do it as it is on the way to bad things happening. fortunately, nothing bad so far..

A three legged stool is nothing to sneeze at for stability.

No real laughs in discovering, then KNOWing what your tractor can do.
It can be essential knowledge
If I didn't know what the tipping point was..... there would be lots I can't do on uneven ground.
And up in the mountains,,,, I'm often on uneven ground.
But I know what my tractor can do.
I like to know my tools.

But I can understand if someone doesn't need to know.

Here's laughs.

On two wheels and no danger of tipping sideways:

Yep. However, we still try to avoid it if at all possible. ;) There's a running joke about the PT pucker with Power Trac owners. All of us experience it eventually. This particular model machine doesn't have enough traction to go over backward. It can go over forwards, however. And if this happens on a side hill, and I articulate without realizing it, tossing the rear half of the machine to the wrong side, I imagine I could quickly tip over, I'm sure. I'm pulling straight down a slight hill, not across, in this screen capture of the time lapse video.

Yes, JD weighs about 520 lbs and bumper of JD wedges under lip on bucket....

Balance and centering load and not overweight lifts.... These are tractors, not forklifts....
