Guess I'm calling the dealer

If it is designed properly and made properly, the FEL should be an easy on/off. And if the FEL is not tweaked by misuse, it should stay that way. That is the way it should be in a perfect world.

My world is not perfect.

I had my dealer demonstrate the on/off feature as I was looking at a front blower for my LS. He did it quickly and without issues. In the end, I decided not to go with a front blower as I would not be on a concrete floor or inside a barn/shed when I needed to perform the task. I thought about building a carport with a concrete pad but did not want to make the investment.

Hopefully your problem is easily resolved and the job will get easier with practice.

Interesting responses.

I've taken my loader off on soft, wet ground where half of it sunk so it was lopsided and never had an issue.

Same thing when I was on the farm... I never had the luxury of taking on/off a loader on a concrete or level surface. In fact, the old man used to tell me to take it off in what seemed like the worst possible location. LOL

I always managed and ever really ever had an issue.

I think some should make it a habit to take their loader on and off multiple times a year, just for practice. The more you do it, the more it's second nature.

I agree. I want to be able to take it off at will, whenever i need to.
I will always be able to use my garage floor, as i keep my tractor on my property.
It's just crazy that something sold as "easily" removable and replaceable is giving me so much trouble. Actually, not just me.
I readily admit, i might be ******* up and not doing it right. I'm hoping that is what's wrong and this guy can show me the correct procedure.
Hoping nothing is wrong with the machine.
I'll find out this afternoon

****, he came out and had it on in 30 seconds.
Very thankful it was just me being unfamiliar with the equipment and there wasn't something wrong with it.
He did have to shim 1 side with a 1x1 piece of wood. I just happened to take it off in my garage where i apparently have a high spot. We moved it to the other side, and i was able to take it off/on without a hitch.
That's good customer service from Jacobi Sales in southern Indiana.

Great to hear!

Service after the sale is always important.

All well and good, but like the guy above said, should we really be expected to do this stuff on pool table level surfaces only? Shouldn't they have allowed some wiggle room? As I said above, I haven't taken mine off yet, but the structure and process seems similar.

Glad it worked out.

Aren't you glad you didn't beat the snot out of it with a BFH like suggested more than once??? :)
