30 °F and going to a high of 61. Wind E 9 mph. 30% chance of rain.

I think I will cut the grass today and maybe change the oil in the rider.
That is about all I am doing.

I got a call from my dispatcher wanting to know when I want to come back to work. I told him June. He was O.K. with that.

Have a good day all

Forgot to ask.
What about some lubrication on pipe as I go? Soil is clay and has been moist. Spray a soapy water solution? Silicon spray? Something else? As I値l be advancing just a foot at a time, this should be a reasonable extra step and easy.

Try Dawn dish soap.

Need to pour fist cup of coffee. 52° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 72° with morning rain. Feel OK this morning. Doing wiring job under golf cart has been a good test for my arm. No pain. Cut lawn in afternoon. Get pellet grill out of barn. Take flail mower off tractor. Then rest.

David, good luck with LP line.

Rick, your park looks great.

Lynn, that would be some savings on weight on my 800 lbs lift FEL. Should be less with a 60". Mine is like Jays. I have 2 buckets. Tooth bar is always on one with my home made grapple.

RNG, synthesizer music. :confused2: First piece was OK after that I lost interest. Need some good Country Music. I did get a good nights sleep. :D

Eric, last time I took wife to gun shop. She stayed in car. No surprises for me.

Buppies, Best wishes for a good report.

Phil, I always hated those in town jobs. Fighting traffic in both directions.

Good Morning All.

Houston Astros won again tonight....

So, the big Furniture guy in Houston, Mattress Mack, (Jim McIngvale) is running a sale. If you buy like 3 thousand dollars worth of mattresses, and the Astros win the World Series. You get a full refund, or 150% store credit.

Win It All 219

If they are healthy, I would give them a pretty good chance of winning, if you are into the high dollar mattress market.

This guy does a crazy amount of philanthropic work for the community, and for autism, he's interviewed Temple Grandin. One of the best interviews on autism I've seen yet.

Good luck.

If the Yankees get healthy they’ll have competition. In fact they aren’t playing too poorly with the no names replacing the 14 on IR. Could be an interesting season.

Not quite sure I understand the setup, but if you'll be pumping water down the black pipe to act as a water jet, won't the water be the lubricant?

Lately, I've been getting into acoustic sets done by bands like Collective soul, Cranberries. No electronics to hide behind.

My mom took her 2010 Impala in because the A/C vents not working right. The place first told her $2000freaking dollars. Pardon my french. She called me and immediately the gal started loudly saying she had made a mistake and it was going to cost $1250. I told my mom to walk as fast as she could out of there and cancel her appointment. The problem is the crappy actuators, and the blower motor control module. I got 2 actuators for the hot/cold blend and 1 for the defrost/foot/face control, and a blower motor controller, all from ACDELCO on the way from Amazon for about $137. I found videos on how to change them out without dropping the dash, and now I know what I'll be doing on Friday. Saving my poor mom about $1863. dollars....ARghhh. Taking advantage of a little old, almost 90, year old woman like that. Need to be taken out back and horse whipped IMO. I will write up bad stuff on Google Map reviews. Also, I had trouble getting the order done with her credit card on RockAuto. They blamed the bank, and the bank says there was no holds. So, now I'm an Amazon parts fan, which was cheaper anyway.
I got rid of my 2008 impala in 2012. Everything was breaking. Only thing i liked was the remote start.

Sitting on the deck drinking coffee watching the dog, watch the kitten nurse by the garage. Gotta catch them and get them fixed, down to 5 from 40 adults, don’t want it getting out of hand again.

Buppies, thinking about you, I hope the good news comes soon.

60 headed to 73 or so, really hot just south of us later this week. A couple of 90 degree days in our forecast period.

Good morning! Cloudy 77˚F heading to the 90s every day this week, pre-Summer is here.

David, my thinking is that if you add anything it after the initial water jet it might gum things up. I'd keep the "tunnel" clear of sticky lube that will just be absorbed into the soil the first couple feet anyway.

Costco has the 4' LED shop lights on sale till May 26th Reg $29 on sale for $19. Plug in pull chain. I got one yesterday for my attic project that I need to install today.

Run to the garden this morning and pull bugs and maybe pull some potatoes.

Eric, It seems you Wife has infiltrated the secrete society of the GM thread. You will have to install the scramble code on your post. Please PM us the key. Out.

Kyle, how are ztrs mowing straight down a slope with landing at top and bottom? The hill i couldn't get up with the rider is not that steep, however there are a couple steep places i like to use the rider on.

Also will try to rebuild the transaxle in the riding mower. From the description, tufftorq says to replace the pump.

My son in law has a 2012 Impala that he drives everyday, all over the Delmarva, 236k and going strong. He’s a commercial rep for Site One, and thinks nothing of throwing a couple hundred lbs of fertilizer in the trunk to drop at a golf course. He keeps the maintenance current and it has the 3.6, which is head and shoulders better than any other engine they’ve used in them.

Good Morning!!!! 46F @ 5:30AM. Sun and clouds mixed. High 78F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.

Picked up another .4" of rain yesterday, stretched out over most of the day. Looks like no more rain until the weekend; the weeds'll really be poppin'!

Good luck with the big push, David!

It's great you can be there for your mom, Kyle. Is there some state agency that regulates auto repair shops in Texas? Might not be much they can actually do, but the one out here makes the complaints public and it shows which shops are reputable and do their best to straighten things out.

Spent most of yesterday reading up on building permits and what low regard Butte County has for "Owner Builders", guys like me that end up doing most or all of the work themselves but still want to make sure it's done legally and correctly. Gonna be a tough row to hoe, and helps explain why licensed contractors charge so much.

Also went through the solar quote, which price wise looks reasonable, but need some assurance that the design they've submitted is backed up with technical support and a warranty before I can move forward. They also need to supply some documentation for the building permit, the requirements for which I've forwarded to them. Hopefully their replies are prompt and positive.

Also spoke with another excavating contractor a friend recommended. He's very busy, but is willing come by and take a look once I have my ducks in a row.

The forty-seven dollar axle nut I need to get the Kubota tractor put back together is ready for pickup, so I'll work on that over the weekend. Need to call around to the rental shops before the week gets away from me to find out which ones have track loaders, and what kind they are. When I took the gear housing off the tractor last week, I noticed two different colors of sealant; my guess is this isn't the first broken axle for that tractor.

Gonna take a run at pulling the front axles off the van again this morning. I picked up another pair of jack stands while I was in town last week so I can remove the wheels and make some more room to work. Used a 20% off coupon for the purchase, and wouldn't you know it, one for 25% off showed up in the mail yesterday. :banghead:

Recall petitions have been served on Chico's mayor and one of his henchmen; it seems a lot of folks that moved there after the Paradise fire aren't very happy with his strategies that enable homelessness and pamper criminals. The mayor blames the conservative politics of independent minded mountain dwellers. I've always though it best to stop digging if you find yourself in a hole, but I guess the mayor never heard of that strategy.

Today's Wednesday, right?:confused2:

Kyle, it's amazing how service providers will try to prey on the elderly and handicapped. I had a plumber try to do that with my mother. He lived 2 doors down from her. Finally called the company he worked for. He did job for free. Instead of asking the correct price of $100. He wanted $350.

Good Morning All.

I was thinking about getting a second bucket for crappy/rock type work.

On the good morning side it's 38 this morning with a light dusting of snow. I have puddles of water all over in the field. This weather pattern is sure keeping me from trying out the PTB and getting my yard started/in.

Prayers for all, have a nice day.

It looks like 30° for the iow this morning. It started snowing in the afternoon yesterday and it's still snowing this morning. Quite a bit of it has melted. I'm thinking that we have gotten 10+ inches. The forecast is calling for more showers today with a high in the low 40's and the wind picking up15-20 mph. I'm thinking that somehow I missed spring and summer.

Didn't much of anything yesterday. I'll have to do some shoveling this morning. But I'm not going to get to ambitious about moving the rest of it.

Hope everyone has better hump day then I'm going to have.
CWB.

59°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 87° today.

We were spared any of the terrible weather that moved through last night. Some funnel clouds spotted here and there prompted some warnings, but nothing materialized. Just rain, lightning, and thunder. Even the wind wasn't too bad. It did rumble on most of the night, though, so I guess sleep was the only casualty.

Listened to the hockey game last night while doing other stuff. Blues won game 6 of the Western Conference Finals and eliminated San Jose, moving them on to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1970. Ironically, they will be facing the Boston Bruins, their opponent from 1970, who gave us the iconic "flying Bobby Orr goal." Should be a fun matchup.

It's been my experience, Eric, that they just know. I'm sure we give it away to them, by looking at gun **** more than normal, or talking more than normal about a particular model or caliber. I've caught myself doing that after seeing the look my Wife gives me. Fortunately, though, she likes guns, too, and has a fairly decent collection of her own handguns, as well as a nice 10/22 and 870.

The starter has been acting up on the Dixon SpeedZTR for a little while now. It finally gave up the ghost last weekend, so I called the place The Wife bought it from and ordered a new starter. Parts guy there found an aftermarket part that saved me $45 over the OEM starter. Nice. We've been talking about replacing it for awhile now, but keep saying, "Let's get one more season out of it." After 15 years, it's just about done. They called yesterday and said the part was in, so The Wife went to pick it up this morning. She sent me a text telling me she looked at several new zeroturns they had.
Simplicity 48" - $3700
Husqvarna 48" - $3000
Ferris 48" - $4300
Simplicity 42" - $3000 (the Dixon is 42")
She didn't like that the Simplicity didn't have a seat adjustment slide (she's 5'2", I'm 6'), so it came down to the Husqy and the Ferris. We've had really good service from all the other Husqy stuff over the years; two riders, two push mowers, and a gas line trimmer. So, she's leaning towards the Husqvarna. I have to agree. Ferris makes good stuff, but I'm not sure the $1300 difference would be worth it (she did like their arm rests, though).

Sounds like we're getting a new mower, probably at the end of this season.

Good Morning! It was 78°F and partly cloudy earlier this morning. Forecast says 90°F for this afternoon with low rain chances.

Today will be a mowing in A/C cab day. The Oregon blades I found for our rear finish mower cut really well. With the dry conditions, I'll cut as much of the open areas as possible, and finish the rest with the Kubota ZT.

The winds here continue so ...... the weed spraying I need to do ...... continues to be postponed.

Eric ...... hope your gun shop visit ...... results in joy!

David .... good luck with your horizontal boring project!

Buppies ...... hope you get good results!

Hoping everyone has a productive "Hump Day".

Prayers to all.
