41 °F and going to a high of 52. Wind ESE 11 gusting to 26 mph.
Rain in the forecast but none yet. We are supposed to get about an inch, maybe.

IF it doesn't rain then I will block up the rest of the tree and get some high nitrogen fertilizer for it. Most of it is off the septic field, so I am happy. I will deal with the slash in the fall, IF we have a dry summer and fall.

A second wet morning for us, though it doesn't feel as cold today as the wind has dropped.

I have been invited to have a look around the new manufacturing facilities of a company I used to work for. I still do some occasional work for them, but haven't been to their headquarters for a long while. A 2 1/2 hour drive will get me to their development centre and from there a coach will take us up to Northumbria. Should be good to see again people I haven't seen in years.

RNG, I can see you fitting in well with that Vanagon/SyncoFest community, looks like good fun, especially for those who like camping without a tent.

L4N, 45 minutes from each battery is a design feature - you get to take a nap while both you and batteries recharge


For anyone that doesn't enjoy rock collecting, try this -

Dig in a gatepost.
Hang a gate on it.
Use tractor and plenty of water to churn up the ground so much that you are in fear of getting stuck.

After that you will appreciate your rocks much more with a muddy gateway to dump them in. :laughing:

Just putter after work last evening and looks about the same for this evening.
Fox start barking etc. around midnight for half an hour or so,kittens did like that at all.
E muffin feed little critters slow roll to work.

Have you got a big flat rock to put under the exit end of the culvert? It will help with the erosion.

After doing some poking seems sink hole starts on the side of culvert to the end,will take pickup load of stone to fill in...There flat rock at the end of culvert already.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 50 degrees with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 73° with rain most of the day. Got a lot done yesterday. Bought another 14 shrubs to complete 2 sides of house. They will have to wait a couple of days to get planted. Going with neighbor to east side of metro Detroit for dinner and shopping at Pond supply store. That will fill most of the days time.

RNG, Tiltmeter is still a TBN Vendor. Save a couple $$.

David, hope you got a good nights sleep thinking about that last 6'.

Randy, parking and tailgaters are my biggest complaints about other drivers. One new one that I have is places of businesses creating parking spaces for specialty groups and pickups. How about some set aside for the elderly. Did I just say that? :shocked:

Looking, thanks for chainsaw report. 45 minutes is about what batteries lasting me. About as long is I need to do anything.

60/77 today, weather is up and down over the next several days. Big rains for the weekend.

Sunday is Mother’s Day and I don’t know whaat to do with myself. Always took my late wife, mom and daughter to dinner. Wife is gone, mom is not able and daughter is doing stuff with her family, she doesn’t want to be reminded either I think. Oh well, the new normal. I’ll go see mom, certainly her last Mother’s Day.

Today is take daughter to lunch, mow, bank, garbage and visit mom. Let us see how much I get done.
