I can't even remember when we ever bought anything but Miracle Whip.
Of course I grew up in the days when we made our own butter.:laughing: And now we keep some real butter on hand at all times, but we also use more Blue Bonnet margarine; Blue Bonnet because it's cheap, and margarine because it's easier to spread.![]()
I seriously doubt the cost difference would significantly impact our food budget. Some items just aren’t price sensitive. As for spreadability, I grew up that only time the butter dish was in the fridge was if hot enough for the butter to puddle, otherwise it was in the cupboard, ours stays on the counter. Can’t remember ever having to discard due to spoilage.
