54 going to 83.

Real nice headboard, LS.

We went to Costco yesterday...required TWO carts...checkout was $512. Yikes. Wife bought lots of stuff for her parents' new place, then we went over and unloaded it, and started getting things ready. She has started waking up at 3am, like me, and making mental lists of things to do to get them moved.

Kyle, sorry your recuperation got off track yesterday.

Buppies, hope you've no skin cancer this time.

RNG, I saw a map in the WSJ that showed a section east of Sacramento and one northeast of S an Diego that are slated for power cuts by the respective power companies when threat of fire. Not enough detail for me to easily tell where you live on the map, but if you haven't see it, Ill try to find again.

Our 6 ft blacksnake made its first appearance of the spring down next to the implement rack I made. The bear(s) seem to be showing up at my trail cams about every 3 or 4 days. Raccoon is in the front yard eating bird seed every morning when I cut on the outside lights. Foxes are back at the same den they raised kits last spring. Pink lady slippers blooming in the woods. Clover fields are at peak color. Great spring so far.

Wow, that Crimson clover is beautiful. You have the full meal deal of nature around you.

Costco and Sam's can vacuum your wallet clean.

Waking at 3 and worrying. BTDT. Hope your inlaws move goes smoothly.

Drew, how was that ice cream break? While trying to pick up an extension cord off the ground, and not bend/fold my torso, I managed to tweak my back. Insult to injury. I'll be glad to be over all this and get back into shape.

64 headed to 81 today. Got a lot needs doing, we will see what the motivation monitor says.
Picking up my grandson from school today and then to his baseball game tonight. I had shredded wheat for breakfast, or as I like to call it, cardboard delight. At least it’s filling. I need to finish Ellen’s El Camino soon, get my paver edging installed, go buy flowers, run the trimmer and about a dozen other things, but one at a time.
Have a good day guys, healing prayers to all.

Eric, I wonder if the extra "i" used in English aluminium boats make them so much more expensive than the plain aluminum boats here? :)

:)

I was watching a British narrated show the other day and the host kept pronouncing Houston with an H, like Who's ton. I'm sure I botch the Queen's English on an hourly basis. I'm just glad we can all have fun with it.

Eric, that paddle boat even has places for your beverages. You would just need a grandson to paddle it for you, and one of those shade caps and db reducers. (Actually, the neighbors had one, and the paddles are maybe about 10% efficient)....

We only have Sams Club here, and BJ’s about 40 minutes away, no Costco close. But I can’t go in those places and not spend $200-$300, so I try not to go too often. I do buy tires there sometimes.

Glad we're not wondering why RNG didn't post today. skeery. I would consider a different mower like a 4WD riding mower. I heard on the radio that some power companies in Kalifornia are conspiring to just turn off the power during high wind, high chance of fire times.

I went to work today. Felt about 50% effective. Didn't feel better until I took some advil for pain at 4pm. Hoping for better tomorrow. Still busy at work for a few more weeks.
Dont over do it.

Course i only feel 50% effective most days, lol

Spent some time mentally working my propane line replacement project, including google and Youtube. Sure looks like cutting the concrete may be my choice of last resort.

Several alternatives for going under the concrete, unfortunately I couldn’t find any available locally to rent. Just might have to try the 16ft section by improvising, as I can get access from one side rather easily. Missing the rocks may be my challenge.

I also like the pipe pull using the existing pipe for the broken high pressure line. Using the backhoe to pull cable should work. That pipe should be in a bed of sand, so maybe a reasonable pull. I”ll unearth both ends and give a test tug.
While I’m not about to spend $700 for this tool, it does provide ideas.

Interesting, i was thinking you pull from the far end, interesting concept.

Good morning to all! Low of 43 this morning, going up to 67 today. Intermittent thunder kept waking me up all night, about every 2 hours. Heard some rain, but not really anything in the gauge. Couple of rumbles so far this morning and some sprinkles. Supposed to clear out by noon.

Buppies, good luck at the doc's...hope everything is good!

Don, "74 DEGREES" IN THE MORNING .... Way too warm... What's the high for today? Sounds like it's time to go to that air conditioned wood shop! SUPER IMPORTANT NEWS: Burger King will start serving a "Whopper" sandwich that is entirely plant based...supposed to be very difficult to distinguish between the meat and plant based burgers according to the test market customers. THERE'S HOPE FOR FAST FOOD!

David, glad your 'wild ride' had a positive outcome...could have been nasty.

Eric, have fun building the boat. Looks like a simple design. How do you waterproof the hull?

Kyle, be carefull! Simple things can surely aggrevate unknown issues.

Everyone have a great day! Prayers sent as usual.
