That should not have to happen. Every customer that walks into any store should get the same service. There should be no reason to have to contact a manager ahead of time.=QUOTE]

You are making an assumption of why the manager was contacted ahead of time. The manager provided excellent customer service.
I wasnt local and because of the distance I drove, he accommodated me and my unpredictable schedule.

As far as....every customer that walks into any store should get the same service, I agree but alas not all stores or dealerships are equal and all people dont have the same work ethic.
My motto was the customer is always right, even if he is wrong.

Just for the record. I recently purchased an RK37 from the Sweetwater Tn store. Guys, service, and financing were top notch. Just saying. Now gotta take it in for 50-hour service.

Also for the record, we purchased our RK55 and several attachments (some right at the start over a year and a half ago and others from time to time since) and have always had a great experience from Ashland, KY store. Brad, especially, has been great! Only a couple of times were there any hiccups in ordering something and he bent over backwards to make things right! Great service, great prices. We're very happy with our experience there!

I stopped at Ashland last fall when I was looking. It was a Sunday and closing time. The young man stay past closing time to show me the tractor. I just wish Ashland was closer. It’s about an hour away. I think it just may be a problem with the new Boston store. Maybe I should quit going on Saturdays, but that’s my only day off besides Sunday

RK tractor guy responded to me almost immediately....he personally made sure that my local store had the resources they needed to take care of my problems

So you are trashing the guy because he wants to put eyes on something you may be driving to pick up? That’s pretty short sighted. I routinely do the same thing. Maybe you walk around with your inventory in your head, but that is not possible when there is hundreds of thousands or more of inventory in stock. And physical inventory and what’s on the computer is NEVER 100% accurate.

If a computer inventory system says they have 10, I'll believe it. If it says they have 2, I have my doubts. I've called and waited while they go look for it. 50/50 says when they come back to the phone, they found one. If I need it, I'd rather wait on the phone a few minutes to be sure than drive 40 miles and find out they don't.

Sounds like the guy had no interest in putting eyes on anything. I also get a little bit annoyed with "I don't know" as an answer - unless he's the only person working the answer I want to hear is "hang on, I'll go find out."

I was responding to thepumpguysc, but thanks for the comment despite your not having any firsthand knowledge of his conversation. Just to clarify a point, I don’t hold parts either, unless they are invoiced to an open account or paid by cc over the phone.
