Our JD 6200 is a pretty sturdy machine but I was warned by the dealer, of others, having ripped the very heavy 3ph casting off the machine. So, my search for a 3ph unit ended and I went a different route.

I've ran a Woods hoe on a 4240 JD AG tractor. Can't remember the hoe number. It would dig 8-9ft deep. 18" bucket. It worked pretty good. It seemed to put a lot of stress on the trans park pin system.

I do think it puts a lot of stress on the top link bracket also. My neighbor that had this one said he's broke the pin before. I've heard horror stories about throwing the operator in the hole when a break occurs at the top link.

That's why you need bubble wrap!

Some people buy useless RVs. Some people buy expensive cars. Some people buy expensive clothes. Most people waste money in other ways. I値l have a dang backhoe if I want one. And I wouldn稚 give up my dump trucks for a fast car. Don稚 forget about your air hauling pickup truck and the tractor you probably don稚 need to begin with.

WE are definitely on the same page.

I am closing in on 79 years old, and planning an upgrade (used) from my current very old TLB.
It is for my personal use.

I have been retired for 19 years.
Why not? I will likely not make it to 89.

My newest car is a 9 year old Corolla.

Some people have enough disposable income to waste ... errr, spend $25K on this:

I don't even know what you would use it for.

Funny. Warren Buffett, sometimes the richest man on earth, buys modest hail damaged cars, AND rides the subway!

This got me searching for new/used, oem, and 3rd party manufactured backhoes. Very scarce in Canada.
I get the subframe attached backhoes that are tightly coupled to the tractor and take advantage of the tractor weight.
How well do the 3Pt hitch attached backhoes work? How unstable? How much stress on the 3Pt, etc. If a used one popped up would it be worth considering?

The owners manual for my Kioti specifically states, very clearly, 哲o 3 Point Backhoes!?

I bought a used machine and have no manual. What does yours state? Your post messed up.

Thanks, Peter

I do not know what the manual for your tractor states.
That said: DO NOT buy, and use, a 3pt hitch hoe....unless you are planning to dig in a pile of feathers.

This forum isn’t very compatible with Apple products. It creates hieroglyphics, especially around quote marks.

Should state: No 3 point backhoes.

It’s in the attachment section of the owners manual that was included with the tractor paperwork.
