Kubota B6100E Kubota L 2501 Kubota T1460
Was at the local RK today and couldn't help but look at the tractors.

RK 37 bigger tractor, same FEL backhoe package same money as Kubota L2501 tractor.

Service is done in house, evidently all the FL RK stores have this feature and no def fluid.

Just asking. Thanks

Only diesel tractors with >65-horsepower use DEF/urea.

Has anyone described you as erratic?

I think he’s means Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) when he says Def fluid.....no tractor in the class being considered has def fluid....either way, a reference to emissions equipment on a diesel, which is absent on new tractors below 25hp.

For the OP, the RK37 is slightly larger than the standard L Kubota, is built in Korea by TYM, and has a Japanese Yanmar engine, which is the same engine that powers John Deere compact tractors. They’re excellent engines, but at 37hp do have emissions equipment, namely a DPF.

The YouTube channel Outdoors with the Morgan’s covers the RK tractors extensively.

My only concern with RK lies in the dealership model. They're fine tractors, but RK sold tractors before, stopped, then started again. That inconsistency would make me hesitate.

As others have said, RK tractors use DPF, same as Kubota above 25HP. If you don't want DPF in a 26HP+ tractor than you have to find a tractor with a DOC, which uses more EGR and runs hotter at every RPM and has fuel efficiency penalties. There is no free lunch when it comes to Tier IV compliance.

Rear fender clearance at the front of the rear fenders on the RK37 looks a little tight if A guy was wanting to run chains....The unit in the video not Hydro, no extendable links on the three point....lifts twice as much as the Kubota...a lot more tractor... missing hydro and extendable links.

I dont really have anything to compare it too cause Ive never seen an L2501 B77 combo up close but one thing I didnt care for so much was the mounting for the backhoe on the RK.

Picture below

Seems very weak.

I may be wrong but I think the BH77 mounting is MUCH more beefier which I would think would lead to a more stable feeling.

I was able to use the BH in the parking lot there and movements were not smooth, that may have been because I have almost zero experience with operating a BH. My only experience was my short stint with the DR towable backhoe and that one was also not smooth operation.

The RK acted as if it were low on fluid.

What RPM was the engine at? Hydraulic systems depend on flow(measured in gallons-per-minute, or GPM) for speed and "smoothness". Flow is generated by the pump turning at appropriate RPMs, which is tied to engine speed.

I did assume this and I mentioned to the guy to turn it up which he did and that did help
