In that case it would probably be rather redundant.
IMHO the ceiling fan brings down the warm air and the echo fan would push it out farther into the living area.

I don't see it happening, they don't work that well, have hardly any power at all. looks cool that's about it. If you get one and try it out and it does what you want it to do, let us know but I doubt it will be of much use.

Maybe they do, why not buy one of them and try it, maybe they make one that works better than any we have seen, don't know.
I like the idea just haven't seen one in any of the local hearth stores around that actually work well. If the Amish make it, it might work.. I like Amish products..

There is a LOT of heat to move away from the top of a wood stove. Something, where the air movement is barely perceptible, is probably not worth the high cost. In the absense of power, anything is better than nothing and that was my Y2K thinking.

For "scientific" purposes I held a 16" strip of plastic flagging (aka "surveyor's ribbon") and moved it away from my fan until the air stopped moving it, about 30" from the fan.

Do you own/use one?

Yes, I do have one. I enjoy electro-mechanical gadgets and this is okay but doesn't actually move enough air to be of any practical use. Ceiling fans are the better option for air/heat distribution. My fan is a 7" 4-blade. Perhaps the 2 blade moves more air...don't know. I can feel a small breeze out to about 8" but no further.
