Now a L4060 had B2650
Am looking to by a box scraper I see every one using a 5 foot wide on the b2650. Is a 6 foot to big for a B2650 or not .If you get a 6 ft that is the same wait as a 5 foot is the 6 ft still too much for a b2650 .
Also looking at a 5.5 feet Walco .What do you have on your b2650 and how it working out . Thanks for info

I have a 5 foot box blade that came with my B3030 when I bought it. I have only used the box blade moving wet heavy snow slush, but I have had the box blade packed full and had no problem moving it. My rear tires are loaded. If your rear tires are loaded, you might be able to go to a 6 foot. How much work with a box blade do you plan to do where you feel a 6 foot would be more useful than a 5 foot? I would rather have enough power to use the 5 foot at max capacity than try to under use a 6 footer.

I feel 60“ is the largest I would recommend. I have a 60” on my B2650 ROPs. Fully loaded with damp material it can almost stop the tractor. The manual recommends a 54”.

In my opinion, anything over 60 inches is going to anchor a B series. Not from power but traction.

I have a 66 inch behind my L2501 and there are times it will stop me. With a full box, I am scratching for traction. And my tires are filled.

If I recall, the small L weighs 1000 lbs more then a B.

Need Jeff to chime in on the weight to be sure.

I would suggest buying what Kubota recommends for your tractor.

If tractordata is accurate:

B2650 HSTC-2293LBS

L2501HST-2623 LBS

330 pounds between them. I have a 72" I pull with my L3301HST, basically the same machine as the L2501. A full box of damp material is hard to pull due to traction. I don't think there's enough weight change between the machines to make a notable difference. If you have R1s I'd say it would likely be better than my situation with R4s. R4s, maybe a bit more of a struggle. Turfs, not a good idea.

My little BX2200 can be stopped with a 4' box blade in hard, wet clay.

Also depends on what you are doing with it. Grading and top dressing -- yes a 6 footer will be OK at best. Getting the ripper shanks down, it'll stop you.

I recommend a 5 footer for a B series.

My neighbor has a 35 HP NH, and he'll borrow my little 4 footer on that to do some "intense" ripping, then go back over it with his 5 footer to grade it. Even the 4 footer will give that machine a run for it's money with my soil.

I have a five footer on my B2650 and it pulls ok in my soils and I would not go any larger. Mostly, I use a landscape blade because I think it does a better job, it just takes more passes and cross passes. What do you want your box blade for, a specific project or just general use?

I got the TSC 4 footer for mine. Like I said, my neighbor uses it on his 35 HP machine using it for serious work. It is holding up just as good as the day I bought it, other than the paint where it's been used. The ripper shanks and the carbon steel edges are still like new. For the price I paid, absolutely no complaints.

Braber is a great company. I bought a snowblower from them.

Top notch and simply (or as I call it: KISS - Keep It Stupid Simple) designed.

Their support is great too. Can't ask for anything else.

I deal with a couple pieces of computer equipment at work that is Canadian based, and I love dealing with them. Braber is no exception -- top notch.

So far, all my dealings with Canadian vendors have been excellent and beyond, shall I say it, superb.
