James Ingram, double Grammy winner, 66, RIP
music I closely associate with 80's and 90's. Nice voice
Someone wrote he has gone home to the Celestial Choir, where he can still sing.
I liked that.

Finished the drive, neighbor's drive and walks about 30 minutes ago. Township truck actually came through before I started clearing...that's a first in quite a while.
Looks like between 6 and 8 inches of new powder. I was heading out to clear the deck, but since we'll probably get another inch or so, I'll do that after work.
Going to finish up my coffee and grab a shower...then to work

after my freshman year in college, 1968, I drove a large sod boom truck for the summer. Driving to the job, I had a Harley Davidson 50cc bike that I bought for 100 bucks. 225 new. Now this was a horrible little bike, I mean you could feel the frame flex under you on a curve, what a cheesy little piece of junk apparently made for a 100 pound rider, and Harley put its name on it.... What is really absurd is what these little bikes are now selling for. I think it topped out at 50mph, and made the whiniest ring ding ding sound. Aermacchi in Italy built it. Someone has one listed for 22 grand.

Little Big Man: 1965 Harley-Davidson M-5

Lynn had a 90 cc version of the Italian Harley, 3 speed as I recall, it was almost like a mini bike. We put knobby tires on it and she rode trails with me on my Yamaha 175 Enduro. Seldom got past 2nd gear on hers. Never failed to start and run. I believe it was an AMF Harley Davidson. Matched my bowling ball. LOL

20 and breezy, trying to avoid doing much outside until it warms again. No snow here, thankfully.
Prayers for everyone, take care in your activities.

Drinking first cup of coffee. -6° with 15 mph winds and cloudy skies. Heading to -4° with +20mph winds and cloudy skies. Brrrrrrr! Did go to son's place yesterday evening to celebrate grandsons 17th birthday that was a week ago. Walking on the snow had the crunchy sound when very cold. 3 dogs would not be enough here. 6 dogs might be a start. PT this morning. Then back home with the dog and stay warm.

Today is 16 weeks since my arm surgery. Arm motion is improving. I can almost raise it out to my right 90°. Final plan is 180°. Good thing spring is a couple of months away.

So I got the notepad out. But I need to turn a light on to see what I wrote. Not sure how this is going to work.

Spanish motorcycles. I had a Ossa 250 Endura. Fun bike to ride. Sold it to buy a 400 Husqvarna. To much plastic on the Ossa. I rode Endros. One thing I did was change the Bing carb on the Husky to the twin needle carb that the Ossa had (do not remember manufacturer). Made a temperamental starting and low end starving bike into a bike that could putt along in a tight trail. Top speed was not a needed thing in running enduros. Several of my riding friends rode Bultaco.

Don, Nice upgrade on the garden blocks. Was idea of putting PVC pipe yours. Or have others done the same. Should make your garden walls stay put.

Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning All.

Good morning! 37 ˚F heading to 55 ˚F. Lots of activities today. I still need to read my Pickleball assignment (first 5 chapters in the official rule book that they gave us) and the Trail blazers is caller for help to supervise the moving of large rock and digging of holes for the rustic picnic tables going into that picnic area on the trail.

The power equipment SIG of the Horticulture club is also active on Tuesday mornings and might be expecting me.

My name suggestion won for the newest Picnic area!

The new name is "Twelve Oaks" and will be designated on the "you are hear" map at the trail head and all the paper maps. There are actually 13 mature oak trees in the picnic area so the name will still be good if one dies. The name will entice the visitors to notice the oak trees and maybe even count them. Since about 5 oaks are on the boarder of the area they will always wonder which oak tree was left out of the count.:D

The official opening of this new trail will be at the end of march when the rest of the hiking club will be the host and we will have a ribbon cutting and the trail will be officially open to all residents. At this point the CA ( community Association) will assume the maintenance and we will head North to the new neighborhood in the Del Web development called Somerset. It' will be closer to my house on the west side of Elderland. The number of homes here will increase from 8K to 12K. About 1/3 of the new area will be devoted to green areas and wild trails and should take us about 2-3 years to complete.

Drew, you are correct that is a lone fennel in the middle of the garden.

There was a guy that rode an Elsinore, showed up every week in full motocross gear, dark shield, never talked to anyone. He was like the Stig, before the Stig.

Don, Nice upgrade on the garden blocks. Was idea of putting PVC pipe yours. Or have others done the same. Should make your garden walls stay put.

I am the first on with this idea and there were plenty of lookers when I was installing the PVC. I think they thought I was a plumber.
The blocks did not move when I put the front of the wheelbarrow on them to dump the mushroom compost.

I think I am going to have some serious competition with the garden bed to the East. I haven't seen them yet but every evening I improve my bed they improve there's the next day. Game on.:cool2:

OH, I'm a garden baby sitter. One of my neighbors who has a garden on the same row gave us some greens and broccoli and asked if we would maintain their garden while they were on vacation. What is a good name to use instead of a "garden baby sitter"? something a little more . . masculine since this morning talk is of Harley motorcycles, a garden babysitter seems kind of wimpy.
