Good morning!!!!

My original CCW instructor threw me a jaundiced glance when I told him I was a revolver guy, but said no more after I only pulled one out of the 10 ring.

Yep, I kinda got the same impression with this one. Front sight, squeeze, works pretty well no matter what's in your hand.

Not sure about other states but, in Texas, if you qualify with a revolver, that's all you're licensed for. Qualify with a semi-auto and you're good to go, for both.

Here in he Sheeples Republik of Kalifornia, you have to qualify with each firearm you intend to carry. Makes for a long line when there are only five bays for a class of 12, and some "students" bring three of their favorites...

Fact is that I just almost never carry anymore, too inconvenient.

Same here, Bird. I only had to take a 4 hour course, but signed up for the 8 hour because the course syllabus said they'd cover carry rigs. They didn't, and glossed over the subject when I raised my hand to ask. I haven't found one that didn't hurt, slip, or make me feel conspicuous. Someone should start TheHolsterExchange.com where folks could try-to-buy holsters until they get one that fits and works for them. The only advise I've gotten so far is "keep buying 'em until you find one you like":banghead:

It can indeed be inconvenient at times. Illinois has a ridiculously long list of places you can't carry. However, I've been surprised by the relatively small number of business who post No Firearms signs. Even places that are known contributors to anti-2A groups have no signs. I try to carry every day. I absolutely do on weekdays when I'm working in this terrible area. I've been kind of lax on weekends, though.

Same out here, probably more so. The drift I got from our ex-cop teacher was pretty much "better to be tried by 12 than be carried by 6" and carry anyway. Very discretely. And be prepared to feign ignorance, apologize, and leave the premises without a fuss if confronted. Sounds like a plan to me.

and half a glass of hooch? How many ounces is that? No wonder you fall asleep....however, seriously important you actually wake up at some point. This is your Mother...be careful mixing alcohol and any meds. Lot of folks die that way, granted most not in moderation.

Good point, Drew, er WW. But have you ever looked at the ingredients of an OTC cough medicine? Most of them are 80 proof (40% ethyl alcohol). So the home made remedy makes sense from that stand point. But what else is in that OTC witches brew? Acetaminophen? Better not take that with alcohol or your liver'll explode. ibuprofen? Ol' rot gut'll chew hole through your stomach lining and say hello to acid reflux. Naproxen's not much better. And even good ol' aspirin can take your stomach for a nasty turn. At least with the home remedy, you get to name your poison.

I sent this image to Amazon as well as an attempt to this mythical company's website. I was angry/frustrated the other day as to how this is - impacting Wifey and Brogen.:(. It is what it I for me BTDT 2X before for broken bones and ligaments. I am more curious now as to the reactions to my actions. I expect nothing will happen.

As long as I refrain from profanity or mentioning competing products by name, Amazon has been pretty good about accepting reviews I've submitted. Real experiences from real users is the life blood of those reviews, and Amazon knows it. And it knows the bad reviews are often more telling than the good ones. So more power to you, Jay, and hope you're out of that mummy suit soon!

When I was a heavy drinker, whiskey was mostly my thing. I drank a lot of beer as well, but always preferred whiskey. I was never a big wine drinker, though I don't hate it. I do enjoy a glass of sweet wine once in awhile. I am certainly no wine connoisseur, as I cannot stand "dry" wines. My favorite wine to this day is still any nice, sweet concord. Mogen David brings back a few memories for me as well, Jay ... also mixed.

I was with you all the way up until you said "Mogen David". That brings up too many disturbing college age memories of white porcelain and insane stomach cramps.

ARRRGGG! just when I post about how nice that there is no trash on the road my wife tells me she was driving down one of the major roads in the neighborhood and several cars and pulled on the side had pulled over to pick up up papper that was blowing around in the street. Some of the paper flew across her hood and she noticed it was money! And not one dollar bills either. She did not stop to pick up any money, that's why the "ARRRGGG"!

So good of those conscientious citizens to rid the neighborhood of that unsightly green and black trash! I hope they do the right thing and turn it in at the compost pile!:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

Kenda makes my golf cart tires and makes good trailer tires so I bought them for the mower. 6 ply. And I sure am glad it's not me trying to mount those tires. They were half inverted and shaped like triangles.

I agree, Drew, Kenda's come a long way from the old days and seems to be as good as any of the majors at half the price. But as long as they keep shipping tires with those straps, guys running the tire machines'll keep pulling their hair out and continue to reach for the starter fluid and matches.
