Good morning!!!!

When I was a heavy drinker, whiskey was mostly my thing. I drank a lot of beer as well, but always preferred whiskey. I was never a big wine drinker, though I don't hate it. I do enjoy a glass of sweet wine once in awhile. I am certainly no wine connoisseur, as I cannot stand "dry" wines. My favorite wine to this day is still any nice, sweet concord. Mogen David brings back a few memories for me as well, Jay ... also mixed.

ARRRGGG! just when I post about how nice that there is no trash on the road my wife tells me she was driving down one of the major roads in the neighborhood and several cars and pulled on the side had pulled over to pick up up papper that was blowing around in the street. Some of the paper flew across her hood and she noticed it was money! And not one dollar bills either. She did not stop to pick up any money, that's why the "ARRRGGG"!

Alcohol and aspirin is a dangerous combination, especially if you aren’t counting the aspirin.

I do not think that any NSAID's mix well with alcohol; does a # on the liver.

I can not take NSAID's due to long term steroid use.

I was a alcohol snob for many types of alcoholic beverages over the years when I was more resilient to the effects of over indolence. Now I am an occasional light beer drinker. I still enjoy a decent bottle of dry white wine with dinner at a restaurant and bone dry martinis. On a rare occasion an after dinner tequila. For me it has become a count of empty calories.

As expected I was finally able to track this mythical company to a title patent originating from the Schezuan(sp?) Provence. There was a quality to the website marketing that reminded me of the marketing materials of other Chinese electronic product (drone stuff) exporters. I'd mention a particular exporter, but fear an unwanted avalanche of popups; some of them not family friendly:eek:

Our family cure was 8oz of Mogen David Concord Wine heated in a sauce pan. Then poured into coffee cup. Just breathing the fumes cured most illnesses.

I've mentioned this before, but when I was a young rookie officer, the wino's drink of choice was Thunderbird wine. But later, it seemed that they all changed to Mogan David (MD 20-20 or Mad Dog 20-20). I'm not sure why the change from a white wine to a red wine unless the MD 20-20 was cheaper. Now I once helped a cousin drink a bottle of Thunderbird. It wasn't much worse than kerosene, but I've still never tasted the Mogan David. I'd like to taste it just to see what it's like, but I've never wanted to do so enough to buy a bottle.

well, this wasn't much fun. Got half of the trench done, then was smart and said do the other half tomorrow.

new tires for front of JD garden tractor came in. Surprised the oem Carlisles wore so much in 600 hours but I was sliding around on damp grass.
Kenda makes my golf cart tires and makes good trailer tires so I bought them for the mower. 6 ply. And I sure am glad it's not me trying to mount those tires. They were half inverted and shaped like triangles.

I got a set of Carlisles delivered today. Not all crunched up. Some of the biggest complaints on Amazon for lawnmower tires. They are all crunched up, hard to mount and will not go back to shape to seal bead for inflate.

Bird, Mogan David's concord wine and their MD 20/20 are not at all the same. One is a fairly pleasant sweet wine, and the other is a rot gut fortified wine. Should you ever try that wretched stuff, you'll wonder even more why someone would purposely do that to themselves. Even as a teenager, once was more than enough for me.

Never had Thunderbird, but Night Train was pretty awful, too.

MD concord must have more sugar in it then grapes. Very sweet.

I THOUGHT that might be the case, but didn't really know since I've never tried any of the Mogan David wines. I know some of the "experts" tell us which wines are best with which foods, but I've always thought that Justin Wilson, The Cajun, had the best idea. He said the right wine is the one you like. I not only agree, but contrary to what they tell me about most men not caring for sweet wines, I do. I don't drink much wine, but I do keep a jug of Carlo Rossi Sangria or a box of Franzia Sangria on hand.
