Good morning!!!!

There's a big difference in taking innocent GM posts / pictures over to FP to use to insult another member.

And that's all I'll say on the matter.

Then bring it up over there. People here, are not interested, don't have a dog in the fight, don't need to be bothered, don't wanna side, don't want to know, and only get a small sampling of the issue. This thread is about Good Morning.

Hope you have a better day.

Not sure about other states but, in Texas, if you qualify with a revolver, that's all you're licensed for. Qualify with a semi-auto and you're good to go, for both.

That USED TO BE RIGHT; but not anymore. Qualify with either one and can carry either one. I've forgotten exactly when that changed but it was more than a year ago.

You're probably right Mr. Bird. I've been able to do the online renewal last two cycles.

Nice to know I'm not the only person on the planet who carries a snubbie. My original CCW instructor threw me a jaundiced glance when I told him I was a revolver guy, but said no more after I only pulled one out of the 10 ring.

I have a 9mm semi-auto, and I've qualified with it, but if or when I carry, it's usually the S&W Chief, .38 snubby revolver that I bought new in 1965. Fact is that I just almost never carry anymore, too inconvenient.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

Today's low 9ºF, 17ºF presently with 22ºF the anticipated high temperature. Yesterday's snow actually measured 1.5 in total. It now appears that this pending Tuesday-Wednesday storm will be an all snow event for this area; the rain/snow line to my S and E. It looks like I'll be seeing ~8 a Winter Storm Watch has been issued. Ron, Roy, Lou, and the rest of those to my W and N will see higher amounts.

Yesterday's meal prep for tonight's dinner really tired me ou. I slept through the AFC/NFC football game.

Happy Birthday Bird!!!!!! I hope your birthday expectations are exceeded and wish you many more.

Billy- I hope your head heals quickly. It's my understanding that staples hurt more than stitches. Good luck.

Buppies- I believe that you are right about a moderating weather pattern as this PV breaks down and moves off the CONUS.

".... Next Sunday we are suppose to have temperatures in the 40's"- RonJH. Here as well. Our gravel driveway is still in decent shape. It needs a topping of crusher run; I saw a patch of geotextile material down near the roadside.

Bill- I'd add a jigger of rum;) more as tolerated:cool:

Ladia- I/We are surrounded by mixed hard & soft wood NE forest. I never thought about it, but I think you are right about the pine forest.

Don- Those raised bed gardens amaze me. I appreciate the pics. Thanks.

Randy- Good signs that Spring will get here some day.

Phil- Brining those chops keeps them moist through the cooking process. ;) Right now I am in a "comfort" food and easy prep food mood and still avoiding the "worst" of my unhealthy meal choices until I am more mobile and weight bearing. The ProMets will figure the midweek snow/rain line by Friday:rolleyes:

I hope that everyone has a decent day today.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

I know it varies from state to state. I've read in at least one state, you have to actually qualify with every individual weapon you want to carry. In Illinois, we can qualify with anything, and it applies universally. Some in our class qualified with a .22 semi.

I have a 9mm semi-auto, and I've qualified with it, but if or when I carry, it's usually the S&W Chief, .38 snubby revolver that I bought new in 1965. Fact is that I just almost never carry anymore, too inconvenient.

My Wife loves her 9mm autos. I've just always been a revolver guy. Been carrying a S&W 637 .38 since I got the license. It can indeed be inconvenient at times. Illinois has a ridiculously long list of places you can't carry. However, I've been surprised by the relatively small number of business who post No Firearms signs. Even places that are known contributors to anti-2A groups have no signs. I try to carry every day. I absolutely do on weekdays when I'm working in this terrible area. I've been kind of lax on weekends, though.

62°F and .04 inches rain

Feeling a bit more human this morning. I’ll try another energy conservation day.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

You heard it here Lou. Remarkable amount of good new stuff here.

and, and, and.....you can even get a bizarre picture of a foot here too! :D

Interesting morning, first frozen and chopped by dermatologist, basal cell for one, he said it looked ok
but sent it out anyway. I've already had two skin melanomas and am still walking around.
I'm truly sure that the third time may not be a charm.

Then off to podiatrist and was given two choices, the boot..., or an orthoses, the first of which was free with Medicare and the
second wasn't covered at all, and had a 90+% success rate. The latter was 750 dollars but for you Mr Drew we'll cut out the extras and
make it 500. Sold. Boot won't work in my farming and orthotics can go in my regular work shoes. Warm plaster of paris felt nice actually...

Then getting gas at the little store/grill right near my home, which thank you thank you has 93 octane E-0, and a landscaping truck pulled up.
Ah ha, that's the guy I've been looking for to get a quote on all my weedeating. What good timing. He was interested, made an appt for Friday morning to come walk my place, and I left gassed up and glad that got done.

Now, finally....off to put work clothes on and dig in the topsoil pile with the FEL and distribute/level/shovel/rake/ache dirt in the electrical trench.
Well, first the plants get watered. Poor things have had no attention yet today.

Hot tea, honey, lemon and medicinal addition of FireBall. Hadn’t heard of adding aspirin before.
