Good morning Everyone!

12F at 7AM, headed into upper thirties today. Midweek outlook is looking better than yesterday, here just inland from the coast, a quick moving snow Tuesday night into Wednesday followed by a couple of days at or just below zero.

Propane just arrived! The delivery was supposed to happen last Monday but the rain on top of the snow made for slippery conditions that the driver was unwilling to attempt. The trials and tribulations of living in the NH woods!

I managed some seat time yesterday, first to test the starting issue and second to spread sand around on the icy areas. Plans today include topping up fuel in the tractor and atv, stacking wood on the deck, moving the Rehab project next door forward and watching some football.

Enjoy your day, all!

Got ahold of Apple. Turns out there is a setting in "Screen Time" that can remove "Touch ID & Passcode" from setting screen. Turned that nuisance off.
BTY there is another update out. :confused2:

Just saw the national weather on tv, wind chill outside of Chicago was at -50F. That's way too cold! Everyone in that track of the polar vortex, take care!

Reminds me of when several of our New England group spent a winter just south of Chicago working a construction project in 1984-1985. One Sunday, windchills were -40 to -50 and my S10 Blazer was the only vehicle that would start. I spent the day bundled up in all my winter gear jumpstarting the rest of the group so we could get together to watch a football game. That was the year the Bears were unstoppable.

The low this morning is 18°. Yesterday was in the low 30's, but not as windy as they said it would be. Today is going be in the upper 30's but they are still saying it's going to be windy with gusts over 40 mph.

Ended up going to town yesterday with a neighbor to get fuel for his skid steer. That was most of the day.

Talking about cold temperatures, the coldest I have been in was -45 back in the late 80's. We were in Big Piney Wy visiting my dad. Had to make run to the store to get something and the seat in the truck was like sitting on a block of ice. The coldest wind chill was in Worthington Minnesota in the early 80's. The radio said that the wind chill was -55 below. It was about a hundred yard walk from the truck to the restaurant and it sure was cold. And the heater in the Frightliner wasn't all that great.

wngsprd ... Sorry to here about your bump. Hope everything goes well.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

2ºF. Was today’s low with an anticipated high ~34ºF. A high likelihood of snow showers/squalls this PM.

One of the best way to get immediate attention and out of the ER waiting room is to bleed all over the place. I have a “Harry Potter” scar; actually two.

Buppies- I am happy to read that you are feeling better.

Bruce- I am happy to read that your Wife is OK.

Rick- Now that’s a nice “Peace Offering.” You deserve it.

Phil- Take care of your back. I am happy to read that your Wife is feeling better maintaining activity. Good luck Friday.

Drew- Thanks for the picture. I agree; priceless.

Interesting NE CONUS weather Tuesday-Wednesday. NW MA seems to be at the boundary of the snow/mixed precipitation band.; areas North and West should be all snow, I might remain all snow, and areas to the S and E will become increasingly wet closer to the coast.

I hope that everyone has a decent Sunday and Bird a great birthday.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Great picture Drew, glad you are going back to work Riptides

Mostly prayers for your wife and you

LS its just a spoke TPV I believe buts it’s in the wrong place for large US effects and the polar vortex breaks down soon so really hard to determine what winter has in store for most of us it’s remaining time
. I do believe you will get cold and the east will warm up but that’s a guess

Is the pup rip roaring and ready to go?

We're supposed to get colder Monday and even dip a bit further on Tuesday, but not like the upper midwest. Our extended forecast has the temps going up to the high 50's by next weekend.

Yep! He's on an early morning schedule, starts stirring at around 5am. After he has some relief outside, he comes in all freshly wound up. He then goes for about an hour until feeding time. Then a brief rest with a full belly, then back to playtime! Boy I wish I had his energy...ahh to be young again...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!

Buppies, thanks. I hate the stuff, getting all slimed up, but we both know what the alternatives are.
SPF 50 or bust

I have a little treat in this picture. And it has a fun story behind it.
I read the tractor magazines each month at the barber and took a few of the older ones home.
Well one of the older magazines made its way to my friend in Delaware, the one with the grandchildren and the
electric JD kid's tractor. The grandchildren were amazed at the Tractorhouse magazine, all those neat tractors in there.
And bulldozers too! Well....grandpa asked me could I get some more?

You bet. Before Christmas I sent him a nice pile of them I had collected and he rewarded me with this wonderful after
Christmas picture of grandpop and the two boys deciding on whether they liked that tractor better than this one.
Priceless.

Drew - That's a Norman Rockwell moment!
