I'm surprised there isn't a web cam on the holes 24/7.

Buckeyefarmer, I like this idea a lot. :thumbsup: That way we might be able to solve the mystery through crowd-sourcing. Thousands, perhaps tens of thousands, of viewers monitoring the holes via the web. Instead of Eagle Cam, we'll have Holey Cam.

But first we'll need to start a Go-Fund-Me page to sponsor Check. He'll need the camera equipment, plus internet service via satellite if there's none available at the cottage. Plus an electric power source if it's off the grid.

Come to think of it, we'll need multiple cameras, with multiple simultaneous feeds, covering the interior and exterior of the cottage. We'll also need a high-sensitivity sound-monitoring system. Just because we don't see current activity at the holes doesn't mean there's nothing happening in the cottage while Check and his wife are away. Those holes may simply have been abandoned as no longer necessary. By now, there could be an entire civilization of undiscovered critters thriving at the cottage. Perhaps even laughing at Check as he sprinkles flour around the holes and sets mouse traps.
