I would be the last one to mention the temperatures and sunshine here in Yuma. But today we had sun shades installed on the motorhome for days like tomorrow when the temps will be in the seventies but feel much hotter in the direct sunshine.

Harvey, I assume those sun shades are the kind that let you see out, but not in?? Never seen anything quite like that.

And our LOW temperature this morning is 52 degrees, going for a HIGH today of 60. Yesterday's high was 65. Unusual, to say the least, for January. But the forecast is a chance of rain tomorrow might, then temperatures back down to 26 Saturday.

Good morning. Cold enough to skim puddles over with ice, yet not cold enough to walk through gateways without getting wellies clarted in mud.

Back home now and waiting for my bowl of porridge to cool down. For the last few years I have mostly eaten "instant" oats, the sort that cook in a few twirls of a microwave. Only found out recently that the fibre in them is not as high as it could be, so now I'm back to the healthier old fashioned type that take a little longer to cook. Taste wise I can't tell the difference, both are :licking:

Glad to hear the op went well for your wife Phil.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 21° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 30° with chance of snow in PM. Taking wife to local dog show today. That should be enough energy used up for the day. Weather guessers have now taken the 5 to 8" of snow down to 1 to 3" for the weekend. Will probably be the 1" if it's like this winter so far. Still showing -3 for low temperatures Monday morning.

Mpham, prayers sent for wifes continued recovery.

Looking, glad you are feeling better.

Thomas, thanks for Deer Feeder info. I'm going to make one out of 6" pcv.

Don, replacing may be the easiest way to do repair.

Good Morning All.

Bird, I think they are blackout covers, beautifully made by someone who likely does boats, nice marine attachment fittings, nicely made.
UV and heat there pretty challenging I guess. But yes, if inside, how do you see out without removing them, which would be quite a chore.
That makes me think they are for longer term storage but I'm sure we will soon be told.

Good morning! 55 ˚F heading to a balmy 71 ˚F. Cloudy.

Yesterday was misting all day and outdoor activities were canceled. I'm in pain between each word (space bar) because the hammer became acquainted with my thumb during the pull down stairs trim installation yesterday.

Today is Horticulture day. Of the 350 organic gardens nine have been vacated this year and I'm 6th on the waiting list now. 5 gardens are on the front row so I'll be able to use the tractor to compost and mulch it if just one person does not show up or picks a mid garden. I'm going to have to post some pics, these gardens are amazing, and the green house nursery is huge.

Will today be the first seat time day?
An e-mail that was sent last night which said the "tractor guys" will fill up your wheel barrows with mulch just put three wheelbarrows together so they can use the tractor to load them. The mulch is used between gardens on the walkways and in gardens during the summer.

I need to take a flashlight along and figure how the tractor door railing is attached to change out the railing. Pic below of doors.

Phil, hope you wife recovers quickly and the problem is fixed.

I had similar shades on my motorhome. At night if lights are on inside. People can see in. Just like you can see out in daytime.
Mine were 11 years old showing no wear.

Sorry about your thumb. I like to use torx screws with my drill to drive them in. Has cut the thumb smashing rate way down. Now, if I have to get a chisel or drift out on something, I'm still pretty bad about hitting my fingers/thumb.

Hoping to score a bunch of nice used equipment from a nice widow who wants her garage/storage shed cleared out. Taking trailer. Trying not to count chickens before eggs are hatched.
