My first thought also was someone ran into the door but I can't find any evidence. The door weighs about 400 pounds and can only slide off one end. Hopefully it can be fixed by sliding both doors to the other side of the rail.

The expectations of a clean tractor are not very high so there is no pressure on keeping it clean but If I do I would be considered a better qualified TD.

I told my FIL, that I wish he'd hurry up and get his new Gator dirty so I won't feel so bad if I get it dirty.

29 now with a high of 32 expected. Sitting in the hospital waiting for my wife to get out of a heart procedure. Been a long wait(been here since 6:30) once she gets out it will be a 4 or 5 hour recovery. Prayers needed.

One of my favorite rides was my Yanaha RD400C 1984. All the peeps in my town had Honda XL350's and they all thought they were so fast because they were, well, they were Honda's.....I showed them no mercy as I wheelied past them hitting 3rd gear in the air. My 1998 Yamaha R1 was a favorite too. I put money down on it, and waited for 6 months for it to arrive. In the meantime, I got divorced. So it was really my divorce toy/present. It was no slouch. It was so cool, I had to beat the women back with a dirty mop.

Good evening all. 48F this morning, overcast, calm wind. Had some drizzle/fog before overcast left. Wind kicked up early afternoon, but backed off later, and high temp hit 63F. Men's meeting this morning, misting when I left, put a damper on outside activities. After nap wind was backing off and sun was out so went for bike ride . Then walked the dog, who decided to be bossy tonight
Mpham glad procedure went well, prayers sent for all.
Don my guess is that unless you can take the rail down, so you can really straighten it, a new rail is in order. When the bail jar gets passed my way, I will contribute

Harvey do you think that that is just one track?

It could be one track. The common method of splicing the track is inside of a bracket. On my door I tacked them together.

If you go to TSC, HD, or Lowes the track will be in max 12 foot lengths. If you got to a local steel building supply they will have them in 20 lengths. The track will be twice the length of the opening or more.

The damage looked to me like something ran into the door. You might do a good visual on the trim to see if the material is the same color as surrounding trim. If it痴 brighter or cleaner that suggests someone did a repair on the trim but did not fix the bent track.

If the damaged track is at one end then the repair can begin with the nearest bracket. Slide the bracket to the good side. Cut the track with a sawszall where the cut will be in the middle of the bracket when it is put back into place. Replace the track, could be like a six foot repair. If fact you might have a situation where both doors could be slid beyond the repair and the door will not have to be removed.

Keep in mind Morton is not in business to repair but to replace. It痴 good business practice.

I would be the last one to mention the temperatures and sunshine here in Yuma. But today we had sun shades installed on the motorhome for days like tomorrow when the temps will be in the seventies but feel much hotter in the direct sunshine.

The temp is going down to -20°F tonight.

I didn't plow this morning, called my people instead and told them I had the hersey squirts, which I had.
Slept most of the afternoon from noon onwards. Hopefully a sweet potato and sourdough bread stay in the system to gain a little benefit. If all is well I may plow thursday, if not then the next day I will definitely have to plow. More snow on its way.

29 degrees out, 70 in greenhouse with 10k heater running full blast. Easy to see, greenhouse is clear and I can look
out the back of the house and see that orange grid lit up. This means if it hits zero, which is very unusual here, plants should stay around
50 which is just fine. They don't need tropical heat in there nor do I want to pay for it...
Carpenters come today to insulate the ceiling of the garden shed, and I'll be done.

Mostly, they are taking tractor back to test the steering pump and likely replace it, known problem. Internet sure is helpful.
they are also installing a rear hydraulic top link and a rear color camera. Then when I get it back it will be ready for the fields.

I will likely spend a few hours planting, since I now have someplace warm to put the seeds.

Absolutely delighted to get an email late last night from my next door neighbor, the fireman.
He wants to come Friday to work on my rear ditch.
I have been trying diligently for four years to get someone to clean out my rear main water ditch just behind the barn.
Miserable job, standing in water, having to heave wet pine needles up over bank, clear up clogs, small trees, who knows what is in there...
6 foot deep ditch that is half way clogged.
Too many trees to get a backhoe in there without ripping up the place, this is just plain hard
physical labor. Something which I have repeatedly found our current work force to be uninterested in doing.

Folks would say they would do it, but never showed up.
So my fingers are crossed, will this job finally get done.

Half my property's water flows into this ditch so I am long overdue; maintaining ditches is taken very seriously around here. I even pay a 13 dollar a year assessment to some "ditch district" of all things. My share in maintaining the ditch infrastructure I guess after it leaves my place, what they call the "blue line" ditches, which head down to the Pamlico River. With such flat land, even one or two degrees of slope is wonderful.
Like I have in my fields, about a 2 degree slope down to the water ditch, so that field is tillable long before a lot of neighboring fields without as much slope. More importantly, my potatoes are less likely to rot if we get too much rain.

Temp got down to -24°F. A high of 10°F is forecast. Wind ESE 6 mph. Flurries and snow for tonight.

North Bay temps are always warmer than here, but although we do have an airport albeit not much of one (grass strip) it IS still an airport.

The block heater for the tractor has been sucking up hydro since midnight, so the block should be good and warm. I won't go out until the temp is at least 0.

My knee has been acting up since Christmas and now it is settling down and not near as painful. I do have a Tensor brace I use IF I am going to do anything. It and my cane work very well together.
