My Ford 1700 is equipped with remote port but will only operate when the 3 point is raised. I need to be able to operate the 3 point and the remote separately. I have debated between installing a pto pump and reservoir or an interrupt of the high pressure hydraulic line to supply the remote valve. After searching here and elsewhere, the interrupt using compression style fittings seems the easiest way to go. My question is, can anyone tell me what the id of the high pressure hydraulic line is? The od is 5/8 but before I cut the line I want to have the appropriate size fitting so the flow to the valve and the return to the high pressure line is not changed.
