Hey Don
Maybe you get your own tractor and make it and you available to multiple groups.

Maybe, what will fit in a 10 ft. golf cart garage.

I'm trying to decide if I can only have one, golf cart or small tractor? Hmmmmm. Do they make a trail blazing tractorcart?

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

Periods of heavy rain and fog all night that changed to periods of heavy snow and fog ~7:00AM. It was someone flipped a snow switch. Got a quick 1". We are presently under a Winter Weather Advisory and High Wind Warning. Temperature has been stuck on 34ºF all morning; it's not going to get much warmer; especially considering the windchill. Interesting snowfall pattern across western MA and other parts of northern NE. Uplifted areas are seeing +4" depending on slope and elevation. Northern and north central NE areas may wee more. Snow is expected off and on all day. No joy for Sunday's storm for interior southern NE. The east coast/midAtlantic states might see some really decent snow action. The snowfall pattern will be similar what happened earlier this year.

Bruce- I am sorry to read about the nocturnal surprise. (There's a reason for our new HD rug shampooer.) Brogen woke me up at 2:00AM with a similar need. I was lucky this time :). Looking back on yesterday痴 food he did get a couple of french fries yesterday and no squash&peanut butter opper. He too is protesting his morning entree. He could afford to lose a couple of pounds (just like his owner).

"... planes are being grounded while someone plays with their drone.? Eric. That's my understanding of the situation. Very few things get my undies in a bunch, but as a FAA registered and responsible drone owner/operator this gets me. One reason I left RCGroups.com. And thanks for the laugh.

Drew- I am glad that you found the "splice." Not very professional.

Billy- JB is one of my favorite ProMets. He was a prof at PSU until AccuWeather spun off from PSU. It reads like he does not have a lot of friends in the weather world.

I hope that everyone is having a decent day.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Good morning to all! Low down to 28, going up to 44F today, high clouds. No precip until Sunday.

Got a surprise yesterday, the carb kit for the snowblower came in yesterday afternoon....ahead of the " delayed" delivery....that's OK. Weather is nicer now, I'll get out there today while I have the chance.

I need to go to TSC and get a few bolts that were missing on the snow blower, and also some fuel hose. It's almost on the verge of cracking, so while it's all pulled apart, I'll just replace it.

Today's agenda: play with puppy and try to tire him out ( we'll see who gets wore out first ) then tackle the snowblower repair. After that? Probably more puppy playtime. He's 'learning the ropes', but still wants to bite / taste everything in sight. Those little hypodermic needles in his mouth will cut you faster than a razor knife! (Ask me how I know!):shocked::yell:

Drew, glad to hear you're feeling 'a little better'. Still, you need to take it easy. That fire and a book sounds really good!;)

Don, I hope you are able to get to the "ends" so you can get some seat time. Sounds like your making progress. Did you get a pull-down stair yet? If so, which one did you get? I need one for my shop's storage area.

RNG, I hope you can resolve the gate opener issue without having to go too deep into that hole....

Everyone have a great day...it's "hump day"...(actually saw that commercial on TV yesterday) (I still laugh at that camel...Mike,Mike, Mike, Mike....)

Prayers sent out!

Yes, they call it a "toolcat", by Bobcat. Used one a few years ago doing trails and maintenance work at a conservation development called 'Deer Canyon Preserve'. A versatile machine.

51° and sunny here this morning with forecast of 62° this afternoon. No rain forecast until Friday afternoon. Pastures still squishy in many places so tractors still parked.

I'm planning on more tree trimming today, though I may never be able to pick up piles of limbs with tractor / grapple any time soon.

It's still very green here as the coldest nights we've had just barely got to 32°. The Bermuda grass got a bit burnt but, all the Bahia and native grasses are a bit more cold hardy.

RNG .... I feel your pain with AT&T stores. We declare a holiday, if we get more than 2 bars on cell phones, at the ranch. I've tried to find out what AT&T plans to do about our very poor reception / service in this area. People in stores, including managers, are phone sellers only. Online leads you down one rabbit hole after another and their 800 service people are less than incompetent at doing anything but transferring you to "another department. The bad thing is that AT&T is the only thing that works at all in our area. Rant over.

Hoping for an excellent "Hump Day" for everyone.

Prayers to all.

65°F and .05 inches rain

Got the pool area put back together yesterday. Masking tape around the pool took about 2 hours to remove, both of us working it. Way longer than it took to apply.
Treated ourselves to lobster dinner in town. Something of a plunge but I think we worked hard enough to enjoy. We did. It was delicious.

Back to my tractor shed project. With any luck. I’ll get last pipe run trenched - pick and shovel work.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Now I know you can just have two pages open, but thought it would be a neat trick
if TBN had an automatic popup to tractordata.com.

Tis the season for snow plowing for sure, and I was reading a thread on using winter tire chains on just the fronts of a 4wd tractor, pros and cons, mostly pros, thankful not my worry any more. One of the first threads I can remember reading here was on tire siping for better winter traction.
Guys were having very good results from memory. Would be interesting to see real world winter tire test with no changes, with siping, with chains on front only, chains all around, and lastly siping and chains.

Drew- I hope that you are feeling better. I checked the thread that you referenced. Lou knows his stuff. Years ago there was another thread on the same topic and if I remember correctly front mounted chains chains worked best on soft surfaces due to the weaker mechanics of the 4WMD drivetrain and hard surfaces put more strain on the drivetrain; something to do with tire slippage. Some operators studded their tires with self-tapping screws drilled into the treads. It would be interesting to do valid sideXside comparisons under similar conditions.

Honestly, I would like some ice and snow tractor challenges around here. The Western sides of the Berkshire and Green Mountains are seeing plowable amounts of snow today. I am on the "wrong" side with this system (so far).

Rick- Thanks for sharing the greenery picture. Nice place.

Our lawn looks like summer green grass. That is until snow flurries this morning covered the green with white.

Still not enough to get any seat time.
