ooo you just gave me a good idea. I can develop a training course specific for the tractor for the inexperienced newbies. I'll see what they are doing now and with the TBN collective minds I should be able to produce a superior training/safety program or youtube. Just making the you tube would require hours of seat time! Thanks.

Rick, If Rat meat taste like Rattlesnake what does Ratsnake taste like?:D

In Nam the street food was hepatitis sandwiches, French roll, crunchy, chewey, so delicious, stuff, the meat looked like rat or monkey but tasted like, well, rat snake or chicken.

True that!

39° and took the day off, got to ease back into this work thing. Almost every day i tell my wife i want to retire. It's not the work, it's the traffic. Traffic actually light this week, but i remember when this was the norm. Now there's so many backups on the interstate where it used to never stop.

My subaru almost 10 months, 29k miles, used 945 gal of gas. $2466 for gas, missing 2 receipts so they were estimated. 30.6 mpg total. My old pilot was 24 mpg new.

Used to not get squirrels around the house, lots of large pignut trees down along the side road. Then my oaks i planted started producing, now the rats come around.

5 cm or 2 inches of snow? pretty to look at but tomorrow will be 1cm or 1/2 inch of broken hip ice. I'm going to scrape it off and it will still be ice tomorrow. I need one of those burners they use on curling ice.

Don, better sign up for the Landscape SIG, too...they may use that tractor.

Signed up.

Don- I never knew communities like yours even existed. . . . Do not worry I have no intentions of moving your way; too :censored: hot.
A lot have summer houses up North or take extended vacations during the summer. The rest hit the 6, soon to be 7, pools or do activities before noon. Afternoon is siesta time.

spent ten minutes early this morning reading peanut butter labels, trying to find one without added sugar.
Yup, the stuff you have to stir apparently is the only one without it,
found the store brand, 2.50 a pound vs $2 a pound for regular, and bought that.

fixed a broken birdhouse in the woodshop after cleaning up shop a bit, long overdue.
Used screws instead of original tacks, I'm a glue and screw guy. Titebond III in this case.

Moved tray of collard seeds and cabbage seeds out of greenhouse into garden shed and turned up the heat.
Natural light in greenhouse doesn't do any good until plants pop up, and it's about 58 in there now, flower seeds
don't seem to mind, likely just slows them way down.

And having done not much of anything so far this day, likely I'm now going to do even less.
sounds like a good plan on a rainy day

Good morning to all! Low was 10 °F this morning, going up to a balmy 42 °F. Tomorrow the same.

Last evening the wind kicked up an bleww a lot of the adjacent field snow across the road. I was surprised that 2 neighbors were out at 06:00 using an ATV plow and a snowblower trying to clear the road. Of course they only came up to our property line and stopped. I guess they feel that since I have a tractor and the next neighbor does also, we can clear our own. That's OK, they do a half-:censored: job, we CLEAR our section wide enough so 2 cars can pass. They only make a one way pass.

I had to get to PT this morning, so I just drove through the drifts in the Jeep...pretty much will get through anything. Going out in a few to plow the rest out.

CWB, Claye, don't be talking about sending anymore snow down this way....you were supposed to put that switch on a timer...only little bits at a time.

David, it's always nice to see the end of a project in your sights...glad you had some good weather to get your's finished.

Jay, you mentioned earlier you had a "doggie take down" , hopefully it was you "taking down the doggie" and not the other way around. I have a pair of good FD issued Trax, but I can't find were I put them for safe keeping.... I'll find them in the spring when I don't need them.

Drew, I can't believe you're planting / starting seeds already... We probably won't see any dirt here until March or April now with all this snow. We haven't even gotten into the "snow season" yet.

Heard on the news yesterday that the local Sandia Ski Area couldn't open because the road wasn't cleared by the DOT. The ski area has not been able to open for the past 2 years due to the drought and lack of snow....now they can't open because of too much?. You would think they would WANT to make sure a multimillion dollar economic contributor would be able to open....politics....

Don, I really like Kyle's suggestion on a new title..."Trailboss"... I think you should also change your screen name....

Well, time to get that road plowed...

Everyone have a great day and weekend. Prayers sent

:DOh, I forgot again....

Drew, we moved some stuff out of our storage room and came across this. It's now back in the house...
