My wife appreciates all the birthday wishes. She says she had a good time today. It's just 40-45 miles (depending on the route you take) to the old neighborhood where we lived before I retired. So we picked up the, now 90 year old, neighbor who used to be my wife's best friend for years and went for a leisurely lunch at an Olive Garden restaurant. And after we took her back home, we drove through the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery where one of my wife's brothers, another brother's wife, one of her uncles, one of my aunts and uncle, as well as some of our former neighbors, including the husband of the lady we took to lunch today, are interred. There were 3 funeral processions in progress while we were there, and the growing number of columbaria and headstones is just phenomenal. And there's still a wreath lying at each headstone from the Wreaths Across America on December 15..

When life gives you lemons.....

My trip down south bore fruit. Buddy has a huge 15-20 year old lemon tree.

When I took the Corvette into town for it's State Inspection, a couple of weeks ago, it was raining and it got filthy. I took advantage of the warm weather today to give her a bath.





We had a great sunset tonight.

Still raining lightly breezy and 58 pretty warm for this time of year

Drinking first cup of coffee. 28° with some clouds this morning. Heading to 39° with 100% chance of rain. Maybe a little over .5" of rain. PT this morning then put another coat of polyurethane on foot rest. Not much else planned. No New Year's Resolutions. Just pray for better health next year. I pass that on to everyone else.

Just watching the evening news and local gal reporter doing a piece on New Years celebration. Camera cuts to her trying to balance on right foot and she explains per above. Wife and I had to chuckle.
