Ethonal free gasoline storage limitations

Yes Sea foam does. I tried stable which gummed up my engines fuel system. Never again.....

The Sea Foam Story

Sea Foam was initially developed for the outboard motor and marine market back in the 1930s. The inventor, Fred Fandrei, owned an outboard motor and it seemed as though every time he went fishing he would have engine trouble. The problems always stemmed from the gas and oil mixture, which became gummy and formed varnish between uses.

How does Sea Foam work in fuel?

Sea Foam works to prevent or dissolve the various forms of petroleum fuel and oil residues. When added to gasoline, Sea Foam not only helps to dissolve harmful varnish, gum, residues and deposits, it prevents them from forming in fresh fuel, making it an excellent long-term fuel stabilizer. Sea Foam also includes a high-temp oil that lubricates upper cylinders through the exhaust stroke.

Sea Foam is not only widely-proven and effective, it shares the same petroleum nature as our fuel – It cannot cause harm to fuel systems and you cannot add too much to fuel. In fact, the more you add to fuel, the better it works to safely dissolve and clean harmful residues and deposits.

Last i looked seafoam dosnt state that it treats fuel for storage.

I have used stabil (the blue stuff) for years. The red stuff is now useless with E10 fuel. Small amounts of fuel go bad quicker so starting your small engines every month or so really helps.

I have treated 5 gal jugs of E10 with blue stabil and it burned good after a year. It didnt smell great but i have bought 93 octain E free fuel that was yellow and smelled bad right out of the pump. That fuel didnt last 4 months even stabilized.

I think the buggest thing is to get the freshest fuel you can get. If the gas station has 8 different kinds of fuel drive away unless your getting 87 octain E10.

I had to read prety hard through the list of things that sea foam does to find stabilize fuel. It does a whole lost of things just like a magic wand. With all the fuel issues today you would think that they would put that near the top. You would also think they would state how long it should keep fuel fresh...they didnt do that either.

Sea foam wants 1oz to 1gal of fuel
Blue stabil is 1/2oz to 5gal i believe. I think i may have a older blue non 360* stabil bottle at home.

Ah yes......and I am quite surprised that the makers of Sea Foam don't also claim that their "magic wand" can be used as a cancer treatment.

I know I'm late on this one but with our 560 gallon fuel tanks, diesel and gas we use Pri-d and Pri-g,
I also use Power Service white in the winter, grey in the summer.

We were having problems a few years ago with our Regular Gas (no ethonal) after 4 to 5 months. After
using Pri-g we fill up our regular all the way and it's good for almost a year if we end up not using a lot
of gas.

For things like our generators and ATV's we add seafoam in the fall to help them out where they will sit
for most of the winter.

Yep...PRI-G for gasoline and -D for diesel are great products. Only reason you don't hear more about them is you have to do some hunting to find them.....never seen it in a walk-in retail store.

I cracked open a nearly 6 year old drum of gasoline today, put up with 4oz of PRI-G, and it smelled like fresh gas.....no varnishy smell at all. Put another 4oz of PRI in it, and pumped it into my overhead (gravity feed) main tank along with two drums from 2016.

I normally rotate gasoline out before 6 years, but this one got missed in rotation.
