I'm the type of person that likes to look at a manual prior to purchasing a tractor. I'm not sure if RK has their manuals in electronic format yet, but here's the next best thing (at least for the tractor I'm interested in - RK55).

Attached are the manuals for the TYM T554 geared and hydrostatic tractors. These tractors are very similar to their RK55 brethren. I would almost venture to say they're identical except for some decals and paint colors, but maybe there are slight differences I'm unaware of.

For obvious reasons I don't advise you use these manuals to service your RK tractor (after all, you should receive a legit manual with your purchase), but these are extremely helpful for a potential buyer like myself to learn the ins and outs of operating the tractor and what will be required maintenance-wise prior to deciding on a purchase.

One thing I found interesting in the hydrostatic manual is the engine oil service intervals - every 250 hrs after the initial 50 hr change. That seems like a long time to go without an oil change. Alternatively, the geared manual calls for 100 hr intervals. I'm thinking the HST manual has a typo.

Anyway, happy reading.

I'm the kind of person that thinks online manuals and parts diagrams are a requirement for good customer support. I was intrigued by the pricing of the TYM/RK products but after failing to find any good documentation or parts manuals online I decided to stick with good used John Deere and New Holland products.

Note to TYM: Don't tell me to contact a dealer for literature and parts lookup.

I hear ya JD855guy. For what it's worth, TYM does include the geared manual on their TYM T554 web page (I found the HST manual via another post here at TBN).

I have a feeling RK will follow suit in due time. They are still in what I would consider the infancy stages of this new tractor line.

Well, comparing the online manual for TYM that you posted against the RK55 manual I received when we bought ours, it's almost word for word. Same pictures and such as well. However, the maintenance schedules are somewhat different. TYM suggests every 100 hours for oil change, RK every 250, for instance. Not sure why the difference seeing how they share the same 4cyl Yanmar turbo-diesel engines. Maybe the company would have a response to that.

Thx for that info RTBee! Like you, I thought it strange that TYM would have different oil change intervals for their geared vs hst model. Considering both use the same engine, it doesn’t seem correct. Maybe someone with an RK55H will chime in to let us know if it says 250 in their manual as well.

That just really seems like a long time to me, but I’ve never owned a turbocharged engine before.

I would change engine oil every 50 hours.

Several observations after skimming through the manual.
1. Yanmar engine warranty says, original purchaser only.
2. Looks like a Donaldson air filter housing but its not using a two filter method. Bobcat uses an inner dust filter. I was able to install one in my other mule. Might be a good option to investigate.
3. Im not seeing a hydraulic oil filter, only HST. Did I miss it? Anyone know if the RK55H has one?
4. I saw a video of a TYM55 pulling logs that the owner hit a stump under snow and it broke a vertical oil filter and leaked oil. This was my reasoning for searching out filter locations. Im not seeing this filter in the manual?
Looks like the owners manual is wrong for location. In the Parts manual the Hst filter is on the left and vertical mounted. Bad location IMHO.

I don't see the inconsistency in the manuals? The hydraulic filter (suction filter on page 160 in the parts manual) is horizontal on the starboard side of the tractor. There is also a smaller vertical HST filter on the port side (page 66 in parts manual).

Sorry, I missed it in the Parts manual.
Does the owners manual show both? I didnt see it in the maintenance section. But my wife says Im blind And thats my excuse and Im sticking to it! Lol
Edit, I checked the owners manual and I do see hydraulic oil filter but cannot find hst filter in the maintenance section.

As far as the air filter, my RK55 does have the 2-piece filter. I'm at about 48 hours; going to do the 1st service this afternoon if I have the time. So far, I love the tractor. It has been a fantastic machine. If I could change one thing, it would be more track-width. I have my Ag tires flipped to the widest position, but a little more would help when carrying heavy loads on unlevel terrain, which I have lots of here in SE Ohio.
