John Deere 4410, John Deere 4120, Kubota LX3310 cab, John Deere F725 Front Mount Mower, Swisher 60" pull behind mower. John Deere 4310 CUT (sold), Ford New Holland 575E Cab Backhoe (sold).
What are some brand and model numbers to search for with mechanical hydro transmission. Looking for something in the 40 to 50 HP range that can lift a ton or more.

I am talking pre computer and emission models.

What price range?

Price is dependent on the age and condition.

Seems like hydro transmission didn't become available on these size tractors until recently. I may not be able to find anything simple in a mid size tractor.

The new Yanmar YT3 series have a great “integrated hydro-mechanical transmission” (iHMT) in both 47hp and 59hp.

Probably not your thing tho because they’re not pre-computer and emission.

I would take a look at the Branson 20 and 25 series. Looks like a good candidate for you. No electronics, well apart form the dashboard. Mechanical HST. One of the highest 3 point and FEL capacity on this range of tractors. Also one of the heaviest. Really well made and heavy duty tractor.

It does have a DPF/DOC emission system. But that's easy enough to address if it will ever become a problem. It's as simple as remove the guts out of the DPF canister or just remove the whole DPF can and data logger and put a muffler in it's place. It will run just fine, if not better, without it.

I was told that the Kubota MX series was a Mechanical HST and not all Computerized
You may check into that They start at 49 HP and go to 60 HP

Mahindra doesn't have the emission stuff as the other ones, the pre-computer I'm not sure probably an older model year most relatively new stuff has some for of computers on them. How much pre-computer are you looking for?

On Kubota's I think before 2012 to avoid most emission stuff. My 2010 M6040 has none.

Are you looking for a tractor like the 2000-2002 Deere 4700 Hydrostatic? Are you looking for a hydraulic shuttle? Are you looking for an industrial type torque converter, power reverser? The 2003 4710 and up are eHydro, which is a really nice transmission. What price range do you want to be in?

What is a "mechanical hydro transmission?

I'm pretty sure he wants an hydro transmission with all the electronics that most have nowadays. That's why I mentioned the Branson as there are no electronics on that tractor.

Sorry, I meant "without all the electronics".

I ended up buying a tractor that is neither 40-50 hp and has ehydro.

Didn't see exactly what I was looking for and a JD4310 popped up on my radar.

You had post 3 or something stating that you bought the new JD already. Did I miss something.

A long time ago, I wanted to buy a JD 110, basically motor, tranny (E-Hydro)and rear end of a 4000 series tractor, I don't remember which. It was a much sexier rig than Kubotas L48 with mechanical hydro, but I have little doubt today, the L48 was the better, robust, more durable tractor.

I had a 4310 eHydro for 3.5 years. I really liked it, but a 3046R does everything way better.

I like my tractor, 2013 mfg date Kioti DK 45 SE hydrostatic Cab, three range hydro, last year before computer, auto throttle, and all the emissions BS, so look 2013 and earlier.

Mechanically injected and governed.... throttle cable and a muffler:thumbsup:

They made these in 40/45/and 50 horse, all the same tractor different motor...these are not the same as todays DK series!!!
These were a heavy duty, deluxe tractor.... Lift 2750lbs to full height properly ballasted.

Every thing they charge extra for now was standard equipment.

On the Cab model, all standard equipment..... Extendable links, front and rear wipers, work lights, heat and AC, AM/FM CD player, sun visor, tilt, cruise, nice seat, three cupholders etc,... Pretty **** nice:)

Best buy Kioti ever had in this HP range that could do some work IMHO

I think my 2009 Kubota M6040 is pre-computer - and I know it's tier 3 emissions. It has what Kubota calls a hydraulic shuttle transmission. Nor does mine ever throw hissy fits and have a dash full of flashing lights. Unless I flip a switch and turn something on.

As I now have it set up with Land Pride SGC1560 grapple( 820 pounds) on the FEL - 1550 pounds of RimGuard in the rear tires and my Rhino 950 rear blade @ 1100 pounds - it weighs 10,100 pounds. It works very hard and I enjoy it immensely.

However - a man has to know his limitations - so choose wisely grasshopper...............

You will probably have to look at something with a tier 3 emissions to get around most computer stuff. That I believe is 2011 or 2013 not positive, i'm sure some with more knowledge can chime in.
