I've eyeballed those mats, keep us posted on how they work out over time.

I've had mats in use for several years in the garage, house and shed. I use one or two outside for kneeling pads doing yard work. Haven't had a single one degrade, though the mice nibbled on one pretty good. I've cut a few up into various sizes for padding behind plastic boxes and other things as weather proof cushions.

Might have to give them a try... always figured they would dry up and crumble in short order.

I just assembled the HF mixer. For once the instructions were good and no missing fasteners. I see a big potential problem area with the axle and wheel assembly. The wheels are junk. I determined the tube that is the axle will receive a piece of 1/2" schd 40 pipe. A 5/8 axle most after market wheels are made for is a tight fit . Plan to heat the pipe and drive 5/8 axle stubs about 4" then weld. Add pneumatic tires/wheels and it will a lot handier and hold up under the pressures of heavy concrete. I have quite a few projects for it plus a friend also needs. Save a bundle over rental coats.

i finished the project. 10" Pneumatic wheels, 5/8 X 5 bolts, pieces of 1/2" pipe. Pipe went into the existing axle tube, 5/8 bolt (heads off) swedged into the pipe with heat torch coaxing; welded all up. Rolls on ball bearings now. Pictures: DSCN0007.JPGDSCN0008.JPGDSCN0010.JPG

Very nice. That should roll over rough ground much better.

Thanks to you and Rock Crawler. Strange thing is I doubt it would cost the factory more than $5 to do on the production line. So much for their touted engineering department. My grade 8 nuts are an overkill and treading a piece of rod both ends is probably cheaper than the grade 5 bolts I cut the heads off. I just had the stuff. Now need to match the orange paint.

Last night my wife and I went down to Beer Camp behind the house to do some adulting. I tried again to capture the ambiance light thrown by the 3 solar rope lights that I strung up.

The problem im seeing is that the rain gets in to the switch and corrodes it. I have to scrub the switch back and forth 40 or 50 times to get them to power on. Obviously they used carbon steel in the switch contact area. PSX_20181020_090312.jpeg

When I did my mods, I had Sherwin Williams scan a part to get a paint match for the HF orange. I'll take a picture of the "recipe" on the can, and post later for you.

What's "adulting"? Is it legal? The photo is very ambiguous...
