Where does everyone carry your chainsaws and fuel bar oil on your tractor?

Check out some of the carry all threads too. Many are built with fire wood and equipment in mind.

I agree about the nice video - pretty professional !!

I put my wedges, files, spare chain, bar luber thingy, scrench, other tools, etc... in a yellow kitty litter bucket and put that bucket, bar oil, gas can and saw in the tractor bucket and off I go. I just always remember to NEVER dig dirt when I'm doing firewood. Like others have said... you do it once and learn.

At our transfer station they are very **** about no scavenging. So the workers get all the goodies.....
Same here. That makes it even more fun.

A new meaning to dumpster diving

This was in the scrap metal bin which is a concrete pad with 3 concrete sides. There technically wasn’t any dumpster diving.

One persons trash Anther's Treasure. I went to the Paul Bunyan show this weekend in Ohio. I had a good time. I told the wife I found some new equipment I would like to get. I haven't been for about 4 or 5 years.

I have my forks on the tractor and on the forks I have my pulk sleigh that has 2 saws, gas, oil tools, axes pulp hook etc. It's great to have everything contain in one spot in my case my pulk.

I'm looking at buying a cab tractor in 50-60 hp range. I have 40 acres of trees that I would like to thin out. Anyone using cab tractor around trees and any issues?

Every window but that back one on my IH2500b had cracks in them after 10 years in the woods. Your mileage may vary.

Going on 6 years of bush and clearing work with my New Holland. No broken windows yet, but I did take out a rather expensive head light assembly.

I'm not a fan of cabbed tractors in the woods. They tend not to hold up unless you are just sticking to well-maintained trails. People also tend to forget that a cab is not a substitute for FOPS (Falling Object Protection System) and an operator cage. If you are operating in such a manner as to need that sort of thing, cabs can be a false sense of security. However, I'm in Vermont. It's rarely so hot that I wish for AC on my tractor (though this summer was a real exception). If it's really cold out, I have appropriate gear to wear for those temperatures. When it is to the extremes of heat or cold that a cab would be nice, I generally have the luxury of simply not working in the woods, since I'm not doing this professionally. If I lived in an area where temperature extremes were more common, and/or I had to be working in them regularly, I'd consider a cab with some extra protection and heat/AC.

I have never had a cabbed tractor but I see nothing wrong with the idea. It will be more fragile of course but the thing I wonder about is how you manage when your working outside using the winch and the pto, hydraulic top link, and 3pth controls are inside the cab. Seems like that might be a real pita climbing in and out ?????

Put some high side boards on my little 3000 lb capacity dump trailer to give me a 75 cubic foot box - little over 1/2 cord. Back panel lifts right off or the tail gate will open with the back panel in place.

I need to do that to my new-to-me dump trailer. I'm trying to come up with a way that the extended sides can fold down for easy loading, then flip up and lock in place so I can top it off. I may just end up making them easily removable, instead. Still playing with concepts.
