All Things Rural King

Runnings appears to have captured the Midwest, while Rural King is concentrating to the east.
And runnings is in NY which is considered east and RK is not in NY, YET !!!

Runnings opened a store in Claremont, N.H. a couple years ago. I make it a point to stop in whenever I'm in the area (couple times a year). Prices seem a bit on the high side, but what a selection!!
I would call RK a midwest chain more than an eastern one. Ohio seems to be as far east as they go.

That is CLOSE! It is 2,136 miles for me. But I am closer than Doofy is!
Wagtail is even worse; he's got to swim a freaking ocean or two to get there! :D

Seems like the 3 Florida RK stores might be the most Easterly.

There's at least one in Pennsylvania.

I call that Eastern. It can not be Midwest when it is all East.

East is generally considered east of the Appalachians.

The midwest is anything Ohio and west to the Rocky's.

Anything in between is condisidered Pennsyltucky....

Still haven't seen a Fall 12% promo notice. Did I miss it? Or didn't they do one?

/ All Things Rural King #28
I'd consider RK a Middle East chain. :)

I was there yesterday buying generic glyphosate, Crossroads, and Trimec. Ended up with a couple more items like usual. I've been waiting months for a 12% sale since the last time they had it they shelves were bare in the ag chem isle. They finally restocked but still have very low inventory so I just bought what I needed at fair prices. After dropping close to $300 yesterday I would expect to see the 12% sale start today.

They haven't done it yet, to my knowledge.
....We are at RK almost weekly. 12% rebate sale is a good time to buy fencing, fence supplies, and other items that rarely ever go on sale.

Went to our local Rural King last year to look at a Ruger pistol. They would not let me touch it at all. They said I would be ushered through the checkout and after the sale they would hand me the pistol outside of the store. Is that a common practice at other locations?

BTW, I went elsewhere for the purchase.

At the RK store just across the border from me in Michigan, I see people handling firearms all the time with the sales staff.

Nope. I live near South Bend. The RK store is in Niles.

Speaking of Angola, though, there's a Soldier's Memorial statue in the center of town. Ever see it?

For years I told my kids that on the 4th of July she spins around and fireworks shoot out of her rear end.... they laughed! DADDY!!!!

I take a picture of it every time I go through the town and text it to them. They still laugh.

Its common for them to turn it over to you outside the store. But you should have been able to touch and hold it while looking at it with a salesman.

Special Purchase price on Electric Chain Saw sharpeners, $19.99

Picked one up, seems to be better than the HF model, but I'm not certain.

Also their 3000 Lumen 28W LED shop lights are down to $15

Used it today. Don't know if I had it set up right, but it made a chain cut a whole lot better and quicker.
