Dig,
You lament that your dealer received insufficient exposure. If you are actually SERIOUS about promoting this fellow, circulate him name right here on this forum !!

I advise selling when tractor is running well. If LS stops paying for your warranty work you will be in a worse situation.
That is what we did at work with a the LS that we had (P70xx IIRC). We went to a Deere as we had no end of problems with the LS...

Nope, that is against the rules here on TBN and would result in that post being removed or the dealers name removed.

I got my LS from a dealer that sold tractors. He has a full time tech on site and parts. He does sale a lot of smaller tractors, but that is mostly what sales in that area. He was one of the best reasons for me to buy the LS. LS is trying for more dealers and they need them. If you have a problem that your dealer will not help you with, you do need to find another dealer. I do expect LS will go thru a lot of growing pains. I would try to find the closest dealer that would help you. Or trade while you can. I think most of us got what we got due to the dealer, options, and last of all price. If it doesn't run the lower price doesn't matter.

I'm referring to LS getting more exposure as a manufacturer. I'd like to see a Rep here like RK has and I'd like to see them displaying machines at shows and fairs. Farm supply and feed stores seem like the perfect selling venue to me also.

It must have occurred to you that LS had less than 2% tractor market share when you purchased. Did you purchase from the car dealer, feed store or lawnmower shop?

If you could do it over, what tractor brand would you buy?

Someone with experience wrenching tractors, with the incentive of ownership, MIGHT get your tractor running well.

If LS reads your posts they might stop repairs under warranty.

I have no issues with the tractor other than emissions issues. It does what i have asked it. We sold our cows in 97 and sold our farm in 99. We always had Ford tractors on the farm. I went with LS because all New Holland had was CVT drive in the size i needed and it just did not work to my expectations. My old 1725 new holland had run FLAWLESS for years and this LS had the same engine in it so my expectations where high. The only dealers it has been to are tractor and equipment dealers. Also the Western dealer rep and the Midwestern dealer rep have turned wrenches on it. If the factory reps can't fix it their is a serious issue.........

I would have deleted the emissions crap already. As you know others have done it already with that model tractor/engine.

That's my next step. Just have to figure out the wiring and throttle cables.....

You will need to check around for a shop that makes the cables. An exhaust shop can build you a new pipe without the DPF and I would just leave the ECU alone but unplug the DPF injector/sensors and the throttle wires

You will need to keep the wires that open the fuel solenoid when key is in run.

You buy your tractor from Darryl?

That is what we ran into with the LS at work, the transmission was stiff and would bind in gear. They had factory reps out, at the end, it sat at the dealer for a month and it was not fixed when it got traded in for a Deere...
It had a very easy life in the spring/summer/fall (mowing a field once a month and driving around with a few thousand pounds on the 3 point in the fall), it was used fairly hard in the winter, pushing a HLA SB3200W914 plow (1820# expandable 9' pusher, 14' plow), but it not unreasonably so IMO and it went through 3-4 front axle sections (the shaft that the wheel hub mounted to would snap off). There were other issues as well, but those were the big ones.

Sorry, I misread the post as replying to the OP and thought you were advocating shaming the OP's dealer for not being able to help.
