/pine,
I don't know why the Georgia Moon reminded me of fresh cut grass. It just did.
In my opinion a title can be whatever a poster wants it to be.

Why are so many mugs, glasses, cups and so on narrower at the bottom than the top, [making them easier to tip over? I get the bits about stacking and cup holders, but even at that, why not weight the bottoms? And with some, the taper is so extreme they almost fall over on their own even when empty. Are they trying to help the paper towel makers sell more?

And I thought I was the only one with that complant. In 2015 my 15 year old Aladdin wide bottom mug bit the dust and none could be found, I search for two months online form here to timbuktu before I found a wide bottom mug, after all that frustration I bought three of them just in case those become extinct and now I see they are now Currently Unavailable but I still have three. I take one in my shop, made cup holder on my tractor to hold it because just as soon as I get in the woods to cut wood I'm thirsty, where I go that mug goes, it's with me now at my coffee table...........Oh and the strongest drink that goes in my mug is Moxie, mostly it's ice water where the ice stays cold longer.

Easier to wash for one thing. I hand wash my cocktail glasses so they don't get so ugly and cloudy.

The tapered glasses fit nicely in my various cup holders for my Rum and Pepsi. Short straight glasses of similar design don't fit at all. :grumpy:

I haven't figured out any way to carry long stemmed whine glasses on a UTV!

... do people use 'videos' instead of just explaining things in words and still pictures?

I do not want to watch 20 minutes of blathering and self-serving hooplah in the off chance there just might be three seconds I can find useful.. I'd rather scan an article and pick out sections relevant to my question.

Because they can't actually be bothered to write down the words. Drives me nuts too...

Hecky darn; I was fourteen years old before I found out that some glasses didn't come originally with jelly in them.

Yep... Mom still has the glasses that she got with buying jelly...

Anyone remember the Shell Steak Knives??? We still use them and that is from the 1960's...

I got probably fifty screwdrivers from SHELL in the 80s. I know where two are! And the Red stemmed drinking glasses before that.

... do people drive THROUGH parking spaces instead of using the marked aisles? I can't count the number of near misses I've seen with cars cutting across parking lanes.

Almost hit a blonde a few weeks back. I was pulling into a parking space from the right side and she comes zipping through from the other side, through one space into the one I was starting into.

I do that, it saves backing out of the space later. It helps gl pay attention though, to avoid exact what you describe. also tend to park on the back of the lot, as walking a few extra steps saves on dealing with people who have to get as close to the store as they can.

I drive through parking lots only with the utmost of care.

Having said that, I take great delight in blowing through parking lot stop signs (traffic permitting) because apparently they are not covered by police jurisdiction, and it just feels really good!

Not sure what this has to do with drinking glasses.

Coffee time!

Some times, it's better just to let go.
