Drew, re CBD oil. Wife quite pleased with her results. Wasn’t immediately effective, took a few days to start noticing, but when she did she also reduced her prescription intake and very soon quit taking the Vicodin. She took the more potent (more expensive) 5000mg version. She recommends it.

68°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 83° today.

Had to take the boy to work this morning. He's been riding with his buddies, and they stiffed him again. His mom has taken him several times in the last couple of weeks. I told him this morning that he needs to have a serious talk with them, or he needs to make other arrangements that are more consistent. He seemed unconcerned about it.

Got the Husqy rider working again this morning. Key switch was working intermittently. Cleaned all the contacts, tightened the connectors in the harness, and voila. Starts every time now. I like the easy stuff. Need to move some wood left from the removal of the black walnut tree. Still not sure where The Wife wants it, so I'll have to wait until she gets home.

Speaking of The Wife ... we've been talking about getting some ducks for the lake to help keep it a little cleaner. One of our friends tagged her on a Facebook post yesterday regarding some ducks someone had dumped at a local recreational lake. The older male and female had been hit by a truck. Female survived, but has a serious broken leg. The five female ducklings came home with her last night from a rescue shelter. So, we have ducks now, too. A little earlier than planned, but there it is.

How do the ducks keep the lake cleaner? I have always heard the opposite.

Good diagnosis on the Husky.

rain finally about to start with heavy thunderstorms around midnight.
Mowed for six hours today, 4 on lawn, 2 in fields, that was quite enough on a 96 degree day, though did the fields in the Kubota with a/c.
It was a five bar day on the Kubota, it was hot too.
Picked quite a variety of veggies today, including an Amish melon and one from I believe Holland.

I tried baking the okra, after dipping in garlic basil salad dressing and coating in white corn meal, with extra garlic powder.
It was ok...desperately wanted to be in an Italian red sauce, and reminded me a bit too much of eggplant flavor.
Didn't get very crunchy at all. Maybe I have to airdry them first, or something.
I can see why it gets cooked in pork fat usually, but I'm trying to eat it without needing a stent afterwards.

Sure didn’t get much mowing. Sky opened up about 1/2hr into it.
Over 1.25/inches rain last 2 hours.

Off to work this morning, 6°C with a forecast top of 11, got pelted by hailstones when I opened the gate to leave and more to greet me when I arrived at work 1.5 hours later.
Should have worn a hat as they sting when they hit and I have no natural protection anymore (hair).
Stupid horses are wandering around in it even though they have a stable to stand in with feed.
Supposed to cut a dead limb off a tree when I get home but I may just wait until it warms up a bit, I'll just keep out of its way as I know it will fall on me if I go near it, it's not near anything so not going to do any damage.

Not a good start to a day. Hope your head didn't suffer too many bumps.

105F 40.5C here. I'm ready for cooler air.
