We had a Gino’s, they were the KFC dealer here until they closed up. The Gino Giant was my favorite. Gino Marchetti was a character in the first degree.

I made a comment, in the other thread about the Parkland School, that perhaps an app that allowed students to report peer bullying, could be also used to report peers that might be suffering from mental / emotional issues. Might be another tool in the toolbox to be proactive, before something horrible happens. Not an end all / do all but, maybe another small step?

Good evening all. 80F for the start, high clouds in the east, calm wind. Wind not quite as as strong as yesterday, clouded up through early afternoon, then cleared off, high temp was 100F. One more day then rain moves into the area, and cooler temps as well. No bike ride this morning as had appointment in town. Got plates for new truck as well. Mowed back yard and lawn looks nice just need to trim it.

Hawkeye, wife got a kick about how many guys were familiar with sergers. She got one, then could not learn to thread correctly. of course step getting divorce and granddaughter sitting didn'y help.
Ed good luck in your lathe search, gor to be frustrating to be that close and then a no go. Kinda like RNG and the van is running but no smog test

Good morning. We have a gentle breeze bringing in some welcome 19C/66F air through the windows to cool our 24C/75F interior. Temperature is starting to climb, but should be quite pleasant today as the sun is going to be wearing a light veil of cloud for most of the day.

A month ago the ground was so dry I couldn't get the stakes in the ground for the electric fence. Tried again yesterday and no trouble at all, they slot straight into the cracks that have opened up.

Could you just use the other arm?:laughing:

Mmmm, the backpack sprayer pump handle is also on the left - do I strap that to my left thigh ?
All I need then is for someone to pull the strings and I should able to get around like a puppet on Thunderbirds.

73 outside this AM. Heading to 90's today with chances of pop up thunderstorms. Yestetday I ended up mowing the front and managed to get stuck by my new drainage issue. I still have standing water in spots and any rain just compounds the poor drainage. Not much planned for today. Need to wash the equipment down. I also think I picked up junk in my mowers fuel system. While cutting the mower started surging and would stall out until I gave it full choke. Started back up ok but then bogged down again a while later.

Good morning all, 67 going to 88 with am fog and a 50% chance of T-storms. Need to weed eat today and then ??? Will see what comes. Wife wanted a serger and then changed her mind as her Bernina has a serger stitch. She is more of a quilter anyway. The lathe search might be a slow process, people want a lot for old lathes unless they are junk so I will just wait for the right one.
