Real bummer flying to Indianapolis...
My flight, amongst many others, was canceled due to the weather in DC. After a lot of hassle, I finally got a flight to Detroit, then Indy.
Anyway, at the hotel and have a couple shots of tequila and a beer chaser under my belt. Boy, expensive day...glad I ain't paying for it!!!

The Menonites here have tables that go from 4x4 ft to seating 25. The cool thing is the leaves all store in the table. Don't know where to get one but would like to have one. Ed

Evening Ed;
I'm in the market for a new dining room table and that is something I would be interested in also, if you run across any info please pass it on.
Thanks
Lou

Don, those fancy bike shoes need fancy pedals to go with them...

Well, I did have some fancy pedals till today, I seem to have misplaced them. Today I went to 5 different bike stores to find shoes and not one has a shoe in wide. At least I got the size eur 46. I will have to buy the "cleats" that match the pedal to attach to the bottom of the shoe.

Mostly, did you get you shoes online or have you ever seen a wide bike shoe? I need what they call a three point connection on the bottom to match the pedals I lost.

We went to a community assoc. dog meeting today and finally got the definition of "excessive barking". A dog that barks for 45 minutes during an hour. Whipper usually barks at something and that something is less than a minute an hour before it moves on. We also learned that dogs cool with the pads of their feet and should not be walked on the street or sidewalks when the temp is above 85˚.

Good evening all. 76F this morning, mostly clear sky, calm wind. Wind was on the strong end of moderate, sky only had a few clouds and high temp was was a mere 96F. Cleaned coils on the fridge, instead of a flat profile, had a "v" shaped profile, made cleaning them so much more difficult and no extra room for access :(. Also did some leaf pick up for the front flower garden. Almost needed a jacket when walking the dog :D
Don Iwear normal width, so did not notice wide. Bought mine at store in STL (local bike shop). I use the Shimano #11 cleat tongue in front and wide lip in back, and keep the declip pressure low, easier to get out.
I would measure th sg ft of counter but we don't have much.
prayers for all.

another very wet day here, raining pretty hard out, more wet weather going up the East Coast. Flood warning still in effect, 4 inches of rain yesterday. That got sucked up pretty well, today's rain not so sure.
Roy, glad you made it in one piece. You sure have some transportation challenges in your job; when are they going to get you
your own personal helicopter?...

Had lots planned today, but not in the rain. Guess I might go down and clean up the woodshop

75 outside this AM. More rain on tap. After today should slow down. Lots of roads closed and high standing water around us. Could use a nice week of sunshine. Have a great day all be safe.

We all know heavy rain is not good for tomatoes, makes them crack and ruins them.
I was worried about my melons yesterday, it seems for good reason.
Two of the largest melons simply burst apart, and they weren't even ripe inside. Like someone put a firecracker inside...

However, I did get a nice cantaloupe picked and a cute little tiny melon that fell off its vine, hard to believe it's ripe or good, but sure
is pretty.

Good morning all, 67 going to 80 with an 80% chance of heavy rain. Hope to get out in the shop a while this morning, will see. Have some paper work to do first.

Don, the tables I have seen are 4 ft square, m not sure of how long with all of the leaves in them.

Prayers for Buppies and all in need, have a great day. Ed

Drinking first cup of coffee. 64° a few scattered clouds this morning. Heading to 84° with mostly sunny skies. Got drive and sidewalk edged. Made a run to HF and purchased a Lynxx string trimmer. Works good. But do not think it will last as long as my Stihl power tools that are over 15 years old. My right arm felt a lot better not having to pull on a pull starter. I have a blower and pole saw being deliver today. Not sure what I will be doing today. Still have not done garden pond maintenance yet this week. But it is not in bad need of it.

Our counter space is 50 sf. But place is loaded with 24 cabinets and 14 drawers. So far all the small appliances fit in the cabinets and counter top. Table is 3'6" wide by over 8' long when fully open. Seats 12 easily. Our kitchen/dining room is one room 20' X 16' that allow us to put a folding table up if we need more seating. We agree a kitchen should not be a little cubby hole.

Roy, did you wave as you were going in and out of MI? :D

Drew, now you know where all that water went from your sprinklers. You may need a better monitor to keep track how much water you are putting in your gardens. All the crops and trees do well on 32" of annual rain here. Growing season normally sees about 3" per month. But we do not get the heat you get. Our soil is sand and gravel.

Good Morning All. Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning!!!! 78F @ 4:15AM. Sunny. High 103F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

Dang heartburn from the piece of Costco pizza has me up early this morning reaching for the Gaviscon. Maybe next time I’ll take it *before* I eat?

My, what a nice pair of mellons, Drew. Hope they taste as good as they look!

I have wide feet, Don, and the shoes I got at Performance years ago were very comfortable. I can also tell you that the Sidi brand uses narrow lasts. Your old pedals will emerge as soon as you purchase new ones.

Speaking of emerging, I was looking for something else in the garage yesterday when I found the wheel covers I bought along with the new tires for the utility trailer. Only took a week for that to happen.:confused2: Never did find what I was looking for, and wonder how long that’ll take to “emerge”.

Got the heads and barrels installed on the BMW yesterday. Had to pause half way through and cool off while I ate some lunch, but did manage to finish. Today I’ll pull the rebuilt transmission down off the shelf and probably end up spending the day cleaning the case.

Happy Hump Day, gang!

Good morning! Daisy in Sun City Weather Underground (closest station to me) is reporting 71˚, a bit of chill in the air this morning. But wait, 100 predicted for this afternoon. Need to walk the dog and get the pedals on the road. Yesterday I let little projects start and did not get to the bike ride till 11 am - mistake was almost heat exhausted at the end of the ride. (95˚) I'm not going for distance just a good cardiac work out while enjoying scenery for 45 minutes a day. Yesterday I did 10 miles in the hills in that 45 minutes averaging 12.5 mph.
