I'm not sure if it was the weight of the backhoe always being on it or not, but I'm not paying $2400.00 for a clutch not even installed. I wish I would have bought the HST model, I can get the whole assembly for under $500.00 all day. I had a mechanic try to adjust it, but nothing. It still moves, I just can't pickup a load of dirt with the loader, then it will not move.

Do you think $2400.00 is pretty steep for a clutch, $5000.00 installed. I mean the tractor is as basic as you can get with the Mitsubishi engine, why not put a basic clutch in the thing. I basically have a beutiful tractor in my garage that I can't spend $5000.00 on to change the clutch nor will I. I'll have all kinds of parts for sale if you need any.

I just looked it up on NewEnglandTractor.com in their parts section and the clutch is $405 and the clutch cover is $407 (not sure what the cover is). Not sure what other parts would be in the $2400 they quoted you and I can't easily find a parts diagram to see what there is. I would ask them for a full list of the parts they're including in that $2400.

As far as the labor remember, this isn't like a car or truck where you can just remove the transmission to change the clutch...they actually have to split the tractor at the transmission/engine so it's very labor intensive. Everything that runs from the front to the back needs to be disconnected to do it. I'm not familiar with the 2615 but if it has a cab then that's even more for them to have to deal with.

Knowing what was involved with the clutch and how from what I had seen people seemed to be doing them at 800-1000 hrs was the reason I went HST.

It is a 2009 Gear tractor with dual stage clutch not an HST. I emailed every agriculture clutch aftermarket company and they said I need to pull the clutch and send it to them. If it's not rebuildable, I have to get it from Mahindra. This tractor does not have a clutch plate and cover, it's dual stage with 2 discs and a cover. I think it was a Mahindra/Mitsubishi experimental disaster. I'll check out NET though. Thanks
