Well I fixed the seat problem. I bought a Grammer MSG65. I have yet to mow with it, but it is much more comfortable.

My lawn is field grass that I've mowed for the 36+ years I've been here. Just slow down and take it easy. I know if I try to go fast - its like riding a wild kanaroo.

If it hasn't already been noted in the thread somewhere, it's a fuel tank cushion, go to kubotausa.com/parts and select illustrated parts list and follow thru to your model number and fuel and you will get a pic of where they go

Probably want to glue them in place with a good contact adhesive to retain them, also check to see if the mounting bracket is bent.

Thanks 100 td, I never would have figured out what it was.

Thanks! I must have skipped over the fuel system diagram... for my application (zd331) there are 6 of them.

Don't be too sure. At least on all the small Kubotas I've been around there are rubber cushions that look about like that one on top of the springs under the seat. Sometimes they stick to the seat, sometimes to the springs, sometimes they probably fall off. Take a look and see if it fits the seat spring OR whether it is really from under the fuel tank. I cannot tell for sure by your picture which it is.

How comfortable is the seat itself? I know the air suspension helps I'm just trying to figure out if the actual Grammar seat gives enough support compared to the OEM. Ideally I'm looking for a comfy cloth covered seat, I hate the rubberized ones.

BTW my OEM M59 Kubota seat is a 1/10 for comfort. I've ridden antique tractors with cast iron seats that are more comfortable. I feel like I'm constantly sliding off while riding the jack hammer...

I'm thinking of putting an air ride seat on my M59 as well. But the stock seat can be made much more comfortable with a $10 trip to the hardware store.
Here's what I did to mine. Raised it up and added some rubber spacers.
