RNG, Irv and others. Here is a picture of my ATS and other boxes.

I was about to point out that there was no photo attached, but the string for displaying it was included when I hit Reply. Let's see if it displays after a little doctoring. Regardless, Ron, your description is so clear the picture is a nice-to-have, not absolutely mandatory.

The question I would ask is did you wire this up yourself, or was it done by an electrician with your instructions? I'm looking at it from an insurance standpoint, where in our jurisdiction a building permit would be required for the installation, and the work must be done by a licensed electrician. I'm more than capable of doing it myself, but would hate to be denied coverage in the event of a loss.

I had the install done by an electrician. I added the digital meter myself. It is fused and wired to input of 200 amp circuit breaker box.
I have had the same insurance company for 45 years. They specialize in farms and gentleman farms. Came out and inspected the install when both installs were done. Local building inspector also came out and approved the installation. BTW, all this is inside a windowed porch. No weather other than cold gets near it. I did have one thing building inspector wanted changed. There is a window about 3' feet from generator. Had to change it to a solid window that cannot be opened. Code was 6' when installed. I think it's now 10'. The next closest window that can open is about 15' away.

Good Morning!!!! 61F @ 5:00AM. Sunny. High 84F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph.

Finished up spraying weeds yesterday, and last load was the BrushBeGone for the poison oak vines. Felt very good to get revenge for all the scratching and salving I've been doing the last few weeks. Now I just have to be patient for a few weeks while the leaves turn a lovely shade of brown and drop off.

Don't want to jinx myself, but a few days ago I got out the DeOxIt and used it on the memory chip leads in the flaky MacBook Pro. The replacement chips from Crucial worked for a few days, then the machine went back to having problems again. Figured I had nothing to loose, so doused both the chip leads and the memory sockets in the computer, slipped the chips back in, and have been using it without issue ever since. Surprised it would make any difference at all, as both sets of contacts are gold plated, and shouldn't have had any corrosion issues to start with. :confused2:

Whipped up another five gallons of nectar and fed the hummers again yesterday; that batch won't even last the week. They're drinking enough with the higher temperatures and no rain that I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't add a few feeders with just water in them. They'd be less fuss to keep full, but I worry the birds wouldn't be smart enough to figure out there's no nutrition in plain water.

Should be a nice day for working in the garage. My benches are mostly clean, though the welding table is temporarily hosting a very heavy box of new knives for the flail mower. Having just gotten through one case of poison oak, though, I'm in no hurry to start playing with the old knives, which are surely loaded with urushiol.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend, and Father's Day!

Good morning. Was 60 when out earlier...going to 87 and sunny. Had a beautiful sunrise.

Eric, sorry to hear of your wife's finger cut. You sound like a good husband/nurse.

Kyle and CWB, hope you get some rain soon. I saw the drought map recently, and you guys and LS look like you really need it.

Ron, really nice set up...I still need to do some type of transfer switch.

Tilled 3 of my food plots yesterday after picking up another load of gravel at the quarry for my next French drain. Two of the plots have the nicest soil, and the 3rd has a lot of rocks. I broke a tine completely off on one of the bigger rocks (football sized) yesterday. I've never broken one before, even on bigger rocks, but these are the "new" tines I installed a year or so ago...I guess they are not as good a quality as the original ones. I plan to plant today.

The low this morning was 50, yesterday's high was in the mid 80's. Today is going to be in the 80's, with party cloudy skies and 20% chance of thunderstorms later today. And some more wind at 20-30 mph.

I don't want to try painting the water shed with the wind blowing like it has for the past week.

My wife and I was going to go to my step mom's family reunion today. They are having it in Big Piney, it's about a three hour drive. I don't think my wife could handle the drive up and back. And being on her feet that long. I got to be good friends with some of her family over the years. Kind of like the Olive Garden they treated me like family.

So I'm not sure what the plans are for today.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
CWB.

Finished mowing the lawn a while ago. Had to pull the mulching kit off of the mower as a bolt had pulled through the plastic. Made a big mess. Piles of grass and had to watch where I blew it. I have to fix the mulching kit, it makes mowing much more fun.

Drew, Your Washington sounds like the other one. What happens in Washington stays in Washington. Pictures later. :)

Have a great afternoon. Ed

68°F and .59 inches rain

Found the last of my workbench tops yesterday - amazing sight. Today the real fun begins. I have 3 of those HD plastic shelving units, the ones about 6ft tall, 3ft wide, 2 feet deep. Crammed with screws, nails, various parts and pieces - a real rats nest. I picked up a bunch of plastic bins to hopefully get them organized.
Eric, that’s similar to my system. I just reached the point of it not working anymore. ☹️
On a better note, I now have various sand papers sorted and stored in their own dedicated area. Also built a dedicated area for my rechargeable batteries/chargers for my cordless tools. Have a bountiful harvest day, Drew.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day.

sitting in a/c trying to get my body temp down...but actually this potato dig was cooler than last time.
Pretty sure we got our 700 pounds, they carefully weigh it all and let me know.
Still have stuff to put away but I needed a break. Been on my feet since 4am.

But on a beautiful sunny day, once I rest a little, headed back out to plow a third pass.
Those potatoes I might pick up tomorrow.
Sprinkler system running in garden, really should put a timer on it.
If I fell asleep....

One lady helper was a seasoned farmer and told me to pull my beets now, don't wait. Ok, I pulled the ten nicest ones and gave them to her and she left
smiling saying they would be tonight's dinner. It's nice when everyone goes home happy...
I don't know if I can get out of this chair, but knowing the sprinkler is running, yeah, no nap yet.

and check out how ripped that one Mormon Elder is...clearly he works out
and has made that pose before; I think doing it with a potato is delightful.
Like the potato weighed fifty pounds...:D
