56 cool and damp, going to 82. Hummingbirds are going nuts around the feeders.
With all the rain, need to mow again. But the plan is to spray the food plots and get them planted a month+ late.
Yesterday the ground was too wet to do much, so took the trailer and picked up a load of river pebbles and a yard of mulch...I use 2 tarps so I can get both in the same trip...then home to unload...using a pitchfork on the mulch and shovel on the rocks...so a couple of hours of lifting and throwing rock wore me out...wish I had a better method, but the trailer is 5 feet wide and the FEL bucket is 6 feet. Most of the time I at least lay the bucket up against the end of the trailer and rake the rocks into it, but didn't yesterday...I should have.
Buppies, glad those new tires are working for you. Our ground has been so damp since I got my zero that I have had to be careful not to tear up any grass with just turf tires.
Don, I know this is a stressful time for you. I hope you have a good rocking chair to relax. My best one was made by the Mennonites using bentwood hickory and oak slats...fits me perfectly (you could say it caresses) and has just the right degree of backward rock, and smooth. (for those in the region...got it at Yoder's in Madison a few years ago...think it was $249).
