My dog, Jones, a black mouth cur bites at water streams despite an incident a few years back where he bit the stream of a 2500 psi power washer as my wife was cleaning the deck. Never heard a dog make a sound like that before!!

I can imagine. Just think about what kind of sound you'd have made if you'd bit that stream.:laughing:

My wife used to give six Springer Spaniels their summer bath in a kiddie pool filled with water and warmed in the sun for two days. For the dogs, it was an all-out water party romp but the wife came out soaked and frazzled after a fight to get them lathered up and rinsed off. Probably cost me a shopping trip and a pair of shoes later but the dogs sure were clean and sweet for a few days.

That's how I bath my shepherd. I just get her worn out chasing the garden hose first. Go out in a bathing suit and pretty much expect to get soaked. She has fun first, then is too worn out to fight the bath. Wife and I figured out fast, it's much easier in the kiddie pool.

We used to bath her in the tub. That took two people and was the equivalent of wrestling a bear. Not to mention it looked like a water bomb went off in the bathroom, and both my wife and I needed a dry set of clothes.

I had a lab that loved the water, but I could never get her into my canoe. So I filled it with water on the lawn and let her use it for a wading pool for a few days. It actually worked; but have you ever tried to flip over a 17' canoe that's setting on land, and full of water?

Dftodd, she's a dead ringer for my girl Oona. She's the smartest, most loyal, obedient and loving Shepard I've ever owned (I've had a few). However when there's a garden hose around, all bets are off.

I think it is the later. How it fit in the car is my question. :D

Pretty much however the heck he wants to! :D

One of the daughter's pair of Akitas. 8 months old, somewhere north of 100 pounds. Fortunately, he has the disposition of a big ol' teddy bear.

No pictures but we have a sea dog hanging around the bay lately barking and driving all the land dogs nuts.

I honestly think she's trying to tell my wife enough on the laundry, it's time for bed :D

Mine does that to shed fur this time of year and shake off ticks

She's on that K9 Advantics and I treat the yard. I check her every couple of days for ticks, and have yet to find one on her. Ever since she was a pup, if my wife's doing laundry, she's got to be in the thick of it helping :D Loves to shop also, you should see her with a shopping bag. She's gotta inspect and see what we got. Tail wagging the dog while she's inspecting :D

Although she has anxieties with back packs. She associates them with me going out of town for work. If I come home from work and toss down my gym bag, she will snag it and thrash the snot out of it, or try to take it from me if I have it in my hands. Even worse with a suitcase. She will tackle it and ride it down the hall trying to stop me from leaving. Then give me the stink eye once I get it outside.

Bug man had to alter his routines when spraying around the house once we figured out what was going on. They've been friends since she was a pup. But was acting squirrelly around him the last time he was out. He switched up to a back pack sprayer instead of a little hand held sprayer.

Once we determined it was the "back pack", he just puts her inside while he sprays the outside, then gives her a treat and let's her outside to finish up.
