26 going to a high of 54 F. Winds WSW 6 mph. Periods of rain.

Well, there goes the dump run, but I will hook up the trailer and move it from the spot it is in and back onto the driveway.

There is nasty talk from the weather guesser that we can expect snow on Saturday.:(

Have a good day all

Excellent idea!

Ron this cardiologist opened a restaurant in your area, I think, we might have to plan a road trip to eat there. He was the speaker on the Cruise that had to stop his lecture and run to the 15th floor because someone (not in our group) was dying of a heart attack. He is also the Doctor that first mentioned the Prolong diet that I researched, tried, and it worked marvelously. GreenSpace and Go opens in Royal Oak - YouTube

I will have to give it a try. It's about 30 miles from my place. They have a cafe near the new location.

I thought I found the perfect Mother's Day gift for mom.
Amazon.com: Mail Chime MAIL-12 Wireless Mail Alert System: Home Improvement

But the range is not far enough and a message to the owner did not result in any possible way the range could be extended 1000 ft. Mom's biggest challenge every day is getting the mail and when it comes late she makes two trips, she is such a fall hazard. I saw this Hardship Mail Delivery and will apply and try to get her mail delivered to her front porch. That would be even a better gift if I can accomplish that.
USPS has a APP and a notification of what mail is going to show up each day. Informed Delivery. I get a daily email showing in a picture what mail is going to arrive. Lets me know to not go out to mail box if weather is bad. Not sure your Mom uses email. Wish it told me when mail is delivered. You need to get her a Amazon delivery everyday. Then get a TEXT when delivery happens. :D

Roy always wanted a generator just not in the cards yet

It was a pretty good price (< $1000.00) and got good reviews on Amazon. Hope it lives up to it.
My plan is to run it on propane and keep it in a shed away from the house (20' or so). I bought a manual transfer switch when I bought the genny.
Right now, it's setting on a pallet in the garage. My weekend project is to get it ready and see how it works. This is my first generator.

I'd priced a whole house generator last year...a Generac. It would have been about $8K. But I'd read some very mixed reviews...plus, we're kicking around about moving and I'd never recoup the money

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 33° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 62° with 50% chance of rain in afternoon. We need rain. 70% chance overnight. New wiper blades are installed on both cars. Got water hose cart out of barn. Darn China tires were flat again. Found 4 solid tires stored in barn. Spent a couple of hours making new axles and mounting them on cart. No plans for today yet.

Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning All.

Eric my friend, by that picture, here I'm providing you with a display of good looking women at least! Next will be gardening near the beach in Rio...
Life is good.

it is insidious...those ads where you see the tiny blue triangle on them, which if you click shows the company who does the data mining and either supplies that consumer info to the advertiser or is contracted to place the ads themselves. Sometimes within an hour or less. Every place I go on the Internet is logged by someone.

Roy's sounds like a great find

I still have to budget for replacing eight windows up stairs and last two exterior doors in basement. One step at a time I guess

Good morning all, 49 this morning going to 64 with a 50% chance of rain today. Got some rain last night but don't know how much. Anthem, moms insurance co and Agusta Health are not on speaking terms so they send us the checks and we have to tale them to AH to pay the bills. So far we have taken about 20, give or take and they keep coming. Wife will take the latest batch in today. Will spend my day babysitting and taking it easy.

Eric, all my adds are for tractors, same as always.

Randy, I will send you a cake with a file in it, or better yet, prayers sent.

Don, we had that done for wife's mom and put up a city mail box beside the front door. Works well.

Prayers sent to all in need. Ed

Once again, as many times in the past, I learn something new on TBN. I'd never heard of the "Informed Delivery" system that the Post Office has. It shows to be available for our area. Now of course I don't know how good it would be. We do have a good regular carrier for our area, but I once tried to call the local postmaster, or any other supervisor, in our local Post Office and gave up on contacting a human via telephone after 2 days.

55 going to 71. Got an inch of rain and t-storms last night.

Randy - you gotta get well!

Don - cobbler time for you!

Rick - my bet is you are getting a ZD1211.

Mixed up communications caused yesterday morning's turkey hunt to be cancelled, but getting up at 2am gives one an early start on the day and chores. Changed tractor oil and filter, air filters, and lubed it, FEL, and grapple. Then used it to pull/dig up 4 huge shrubs that my wife wanted gone from along the back of the house...they were just too close. Gave my tractor and FEL a real workout...big deep roots...grapple was awesome.

Then mowed for a couple of hours until dark in anticipation of last night's rain.

Skunk smell is strong outside this morning...I had been getting spoiled by the early morning scent of lilac and apple blossoms. I saw a couple of skunk digs while mowing yesterday, so I knew there was another around.

Don, I was really surprised by the issue of snakes and bird netting. You have snakes that climb three and four feet up in the air?
My netting is laid on top, tied to tposts at the corners so it doesn't get within maybe three feet of the ground. How do snakes get in there?
Birds I could understand.

The problem snake was the chicken snake. They are faster than a squirrel crawling up a tree. I guess thats how they get eggs. Evidence below.

Woke at 3:30, not an ideal sleep setting.

I feel your pain, Randy. Last time I was in it was for three days, and I think the longest I ever slept was for a couple hours. Someone was always coming in to check this or that, or draw blood, or take a pulse or temperature. You sure don't get much rest in a hospital! Hope you break outa there real soon!

Thanks Ron, like Bird learn something new every day here. I signed up and will see how it works for me. So far it says I get no mail today and have not had any mail all week. Not quite accurate, but maybe it means since I signed up. It still does not help Mom because she refused an iPad or smart phone, but maybe if it works good for me she might change her mind. The best is still getting delivery at her front door but I hear it is hard to get approved out here, but I will take Mom to deliver her written request to the post master.

Darn China tires were flat again.

I had the same problem with a wheelbarrow tire. ALWAYS flat when I went to use it. Harbor Freight tire. Tractor Supply had more junk from China. Found a good tire/tube at McMaster-Carr, and it hasn't gone flat in years!

Don - cobbler time for you!

. . .yesterday morning's turkey hunt to be cancelled,

Yes it is cobbler season and the cobbler pan has been lightened.

There is actually a recipe for a Gobbler Cobbler, but it is so unhealthy I just couldn't post it for you without feeling I would be contributing to your's and the turkey's demise.

Good Morning!!!! 52F @ 5:30AM. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High near 65F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph.

Glad to see some cooler temps for the daytime high. Prolly sit by the campfire tonight feeding it with old paperwork for a while.

Tried to sign up for Informed Delivery, but it wouldn't verify my identity. Now I have to wait 72 hours to try again, or go in to the PO and prove I'm me. Very convenient.:confused2:

Wow! Looks like there might be a new rainfall record set recently on Kauai. Almost 50" in 24 hours! Hope you didn't get anything near that at your place, David!

Still no motor music at the mechanic's yesterday, a week past the latest deadline, but then the lights aren't working on the trailer yet, either. I'm supposed to get in touch with the neighbor that owns it this morning and get his help straightening them out. There is progress being made on the van, just a lot slower than I'd like. He seemed to think the engine wiring harness would be installed today, and that he might be able to get it started today as well. Yeah, right, what a miracle that would be, too!

More motorcycle tinkering on the agenda for today, and maybe some yard work if the temps stay down like they're supposed to.

TGIF gang!:drink:
